I wish there was ... with 2 baby seats in there there aint no room in the middle, the boot doesnt fit a portable cot, toys and a high chair. You cant put the front seats back too far other wise the kids dont have leg room ..

Hows maintenance? Inspection1 & 2 etc? I know 7's are more than the 3's by a long shot

Hi everyone ... I have been plotting this idea for a while and want to move up in seats/room to either a 5 or 7 ... I have a M3 saloon at the moment but having 2 kids soon so she aint going to be big enough .. sadly :-( Im thinking of either 540 or 740, E38, E39, E60 ... I cant make up my mind ... anyone got families .. which one?

Hi everyone ... I have always wanted to ask about these tail lights and similar "Japanese accessories".... as i see them around the roads lately on Beemers. Im NOT trying to sound like an annoying BMW purist or anything but whats the go with putting these Japa styles on a German engineered vehicle? If people want fancy lights (Japs love gancy gadgets and pretty lights I believe) and things why dont they buy a Altezza, Supra, Integra etc in the first place instead of making their BMW into one? Va23boam - nothing against your interest please dont get my wrong, If you like em go for it, its a free world... Maybe Im part of an older generation or sumthing ... Or stop buying BMW Car mags and buy Fast fours :-) Sorry people ... Ive had a bad day

ok ... .. those tail lights are LED's which came out after 2001, the xenon headlights came out after 2001, those wheels from what I believe came stock on 530's. From 2001 the model range was 525, 530, 540, M5 ... am I right? So my guess is its a 2001 530i

Thats what im worried about trying to find one, but they will be a rare super car and the looks you could kill for with the motorsport/AC trim

Im seen quite a few around too, but trying to find one thats got a complete service history from BMW is hard to find. Do all of them have the Nikasil block? Does anyone on this site have one?

E36 325i, you get more to the gallon with a reasonable sized straight six compared to the others - M50 versus M43 .. your better of witha M52 motor, a E36 323 model?

Sorry mate, I would have to disagree about Jerry's, i went there 18 months ago to have euro plates place on a car and had no idea how to mount the surrounds, they left the ends of my plates hang out and looked hideous .. I had taken a 540 to have the xenons looked at and broke the pins on the corner indicators when they were removed, they tried t tell me that the plates need to be bolted on instead of fitting it on with surrounds and waited 3 months after a complaint to have them replaced, i trusted them to fit Angel Eyes to a Z3 and broke the Halo rings .....and the list goes on. Ive been with Team Mcmillan and have no problem ever since

Some functions wont work here depending on weither yours is NZ new, import from Germany or Jap new. Press the 1000 and 10 button together and it should say funktion ... if it says Test add todays date together (ie today will show 10.01 - add together and thats the code of 11) ... keep pressing SET/RES after everything heres a whole list of funktions you can use if your OBC accepts it (screen will go blank if it doesnt recognise it) 1 Display Test .. all LCDs and LEDs activate 2 Current Consumption in l/100km 3 Current Consumption in l/hour 4 Average Consumption (used to calc. Range) 5 Current Range 6 Blank 7 Average Fuel in Tank (l) 8 Current Speed (km/h) 9 System Voltage at terminal R 10 Country/Language 11 Units/ AM.PM 12 Average Speed (km/h) for calc. ETA 13 ETA for your destination 14 Date of software/mask of OBC 15 Production Diagnosis 16 Production Diagnosis 17 Display Vehicle Specific Data 18 Alarm Changeover (continuous v. intermittent) ... if your car has BMW alarm 19 LOCK/UNLOCK all functions 20 OBC Fuel Consumption .. dont ask :-) 21 Reset all defect codes, date and time ... activate by pressing SET/RES Have a look at your manual as well, it has some on the 18 button but not much Have a go , see if it works

KerryNz is right, we are limited to what we can do, you should be able to get a few things going though by pressing the 100 and 1 button at the same time - the display should say "Funktion" To replace them - are you in auckland? Ladies Mile motors in Ellerslie sells second hand ones for $200

You can get them for E30 but their LED style which are crap, Im waiting on CCFL 6000k angel eyes for these models but need some how to modify the whole head lamp because the lights dont have an external lense cover like E39, 38 etc onwards
