  4. Im hoping thats the last of the accidents with BM's involved, Im sure we are going to get harrased by the law now if you drive a E30, E38, E36 and look young, also insurance premiums and excesses thanks to these fools who thrash their BMW's thinking its a Honda
  5. So your getting about 450kms every 70 litres around the city, does this include the bumper to bumper 8am going to work? By not using the car on weekends, do you onlt fill up once every 2 weeks? (sorry fellas for the questions, it has been 10 years since I owned a V8 and petrol aint the same price anymore)
  6. Its awesome man .... I went to Vancouver and Washington, Los Angeles back in 2001 for 12 months to work. If your single and go to USA or Canada, with our accent I guarantee you will pick up women at every bar/club you walk into, just talk and they the accent. Bad thing was it was cold and wasnt used to snow and ice, and getting used to driving those big ass chevy's on the other side. Take enough cash / credit card with you and stash some for back up, my parents were back here in NZ and to have money wired takes ages back then when I went broke, maybe different now. LA is cool, thats worth a visit and to work, just make sure you wear the right clothes in the right neighborhoods... Take a mate too, I had more fun with someone I knew at least over there
  7. Just figures for E39 535, 540 or E38 740
  8. Have you tampered with any wire harness's or stereo wiring, steering wheel etc?? If you think theres nothing wrong I know you can get a reset tool and reset it to remove the light
  9. Can somone who drives one who similar tell me what they pay with todays petrols rates? I drive the 323i 28km each day to and from work and pay approx $120 fortnight with a 60 litre tank. Can someone tell me what they pay for the similar distance?
  10. I will keep the garage in mind in future, I never gave it a thought ... I actualy was thinking of building a shed to put all the tools in and the bench etc and then the 7 will fit.
  11. I have a yellow plate on the back of my 323i with the D logo, I have been pulled up 4 times so far by police questioing the plate. They believe it is a rego number from Germany, they never look at the LTSA sticker on the windsheild on passenger side!! If you guys are looking for D stickers and plakettes, order them here: Their service is ok, postage is a bit slow http://www.german-number-plates.com/access...ls&item=812
  12. Is there a electronic device that can play HD through my plasma buy is not a PS3 or Xbox 360? I would prefer blueray ... also are there any media i.e. movie DVD's that is HD yet? I would have a PS3 but will wait until it comes down in price, Xbox doesnt match my audio equipment and is ugly In other words I want to buy a Blue ray player but is it worth it at the moment or should I wait until it is more common??
  13. You can fit most units in there, Alpine, SONY etc I have found
  14. IMO - I enjoy driving around the Brynderwyns, Mungamukas (spelling error I know) and country driving where you can speed and use what a BMW is there to do (with a radar and laser jammer) and there is no people/children/pets around that will get hurt etc. I dont find flooring it from bottom off queen street to K road fun, or drifting around a round about ... but every one has different driving styles
  15. Best guess would be the hard drive has failed, hence all the noise it makes. You can actually take a hard drive out of a laptop and connect it to a desktop computer using a device called a USB Hard Drive enclosure. That way you can use the harddrive from the laptop through the USB port on another computer. Not a 100% guarantee, but definitly worth a try....
  16. We use common sense when it comes to racing in public areas, I do the same also
  17. Hi all I have a V1 radar and would like to know whether I can add a Jammer (if Valantine make one??) to my existing radar or do I have to buy a whole new unit?
  18. agree 100% with Rog, Japanese cars are great 0-100 because they are light little cars with their blow off sounds. But legally you cant drive around town trying to drag everyone at the lights trying to get within 200m first. I live on a corner and get f**ked off with those Silvias, Nissan's etc thinking its Bathurst when its a 50k zone in a residential area with children ... wheres the f**king brains in that??? I will lay tacks out on the road shortly .... Woops im off topic On the open road, a BMW feels more comfortable, safer and have that stick to the road feeling and have the power long distance compared to a Jappa. We had dragged a RX7 against a stock 330i going 0 - 200. The 330i won off course at the end but not off the mark
  19. Cmon guys, someone must want this one, this is a must for a E36 fan thats the next best thing to a M3, I would prefer this car went to someone here than some boyracer who would convert it to a altezza etc. This car is faultless, is in excellent condition and handles beautifully
  20. Its all about the money mate .. send some this way and I will make room for a 7
  21. Honest mate, need a bigger house with a bigger garage, maybe if I moved all my sh*t out there will be room
