How much work are we talking for a E46 M3 engine transplant into an E46 car ?
-
hahah .. that still gives me no idication of how much they cost .. $10,000 ?
-
does anyone actually know how much it costs for a E46 M3 engine .. ? Price for new and second hand, and where can i get them from would be nice ..

the lastest one is a 745i not a 740i .... and that is the one my old man currently has ...
-
I'll have to disagree with the handling of the 540... My old man used to have one i beleive it was 1999 or 2000 540i and it stuck rather well to the ground. and it sure does go ... heh but it doesn't go aswell as her 745 at the moment tho .. and it handles suprising well for such a massive car ..
-
Have you ever thought about handing it in ? Maybe it is stolen and the owners are missing it .. ?? Just a thought ..
-
ok thats cool then. Yeah it's in my 318ti. I have about 2000Km on the clock now ... I'm not sure how much kms it is before the car is at optimal condition .. 10K or 20K ? Maybe andrew will know .. lol .. he seems to know everything .. i've also had it going sideways once with traction fully turned off .. It's actually quite fun to play with .. and it also goes well on gravel, i wasn't trying to drift it or anything just seeing how it handles ... and it sure does stick ..

darn my last car costed $3K or so to insure, and about $3.5K excess national auto club was the only company that will insure it .... and i'm currently 20 years old and my new car is only around $1K premium but excess is like $5K !!!!!!!! I'm with so other company now, can't remember what it is as broker arranges it all ...

Hey just a question for you guy .. If i drove my car with traction control and the do dah's on and the traction control keeps kicking in am i doing any harm to anything .. ?? especially to diff ?? So basically am i harming the car by having traction control kicking in ?

-
Hey viking check out this one .. ZEEMAX!! I quite like some of them .! :mosh:
-
wow .. is all i'll say .!
-
If i am right there is no LSD for the E36 nonM3's .. because i enquired about it when my diff went and the dealer said there wasNT an LSD for my shape ...
-
It depends on the price for me ... but if the price is good enough i have a friend that might also be interested ... you just need to hit me back with a price first ...
-
Oh yeah .. btw welcome ... i think you'll like it here ... i sure do .. :thumb: :thumb: They are all a bunch of good guys .. :mosh:
-
Oh, and unless its a manual, or you want to keep changing diffs in the auto you'll hardly be able to lose traction..... i can only drift the E36 in the wet and with crappy tires ... and burnout's costed me a new diff(which was when i was still a newbie about cars and stuff), chuck it in nutral rev to 3Krpm and dump in D .. hah .. i would never be doing that again .. hahah ... Now i treat my ride with great respect.

I'm 99% sure that you won't have traction control cause all the traction control cars have a button to turn it off. The E36 318 i had didn't have traction control, and i think they were optional back in those days(i could be wrong here). either that or it's the 325+ that had traction control.
