80 bukkers from the dealer iirc.

Just get a whole Wilwood pedal box setup Shane ^ They are quite cheap really.
-
Heh, yes the steering angle is a bit much. But it is not understeer at all. Just a warm, grippy Michelin.
-
Do want some R888's, looks very tough. And good to see that the standard GC springs can get a bit of height in them.. Will remember this.

(Dont take this the wrong way Sam ) I don't think Sam will be dealing with Studylink at all during Uni

How high are your adjusters wound up for those shots? Those sure are some meaty tires for that little car! Bet it railed awesomely.

Great points Kerry, but Toe-out won't cause the outside edge to wear in my case.. the last 3cm of the outside of my tire doesn't even touch the ground when driving around normally (A lot of static camber). When driving through a dusty patch there is a nice black strip of clean tire on the shoulder. Certainly dynamic camber gain is the best, and at low speed on tight corners this car has way too much camber gain from the large caster and large static camber and gets a lovely dose of understeer, but increase the speed, decrease the steering angle and increase the load on the tires and it really works oh so well. And toe out is not bad under braking, you have the steering wheel in your hands, if the car starts getting squirlley it's pretty easy to turn the wheel, correct, and keep it on line. Toe out gives you front-end mid-corner grip apparntly, which is very nice and handy for this front heavy car. And just another pic that shows that big negative camber certainly works for some, the front right here is doing a fantastic job sitting perfectly perpendicular (rear sways are a bit stiff or I have mastered this trail braking (look at left rear wheel off the ground eeeek) Most likely a bit of both.) *edit: Hmm that left front could almost be off the ground as well! Damn oversized sway bars

Why thanks James.

How to really shoot a Panamera: http://www.swencarlin.com/#mi=2&pt=1&a...mp;a=0&at=0 Art.

Need a massive oil cooler with huge braided lines to go with those!
-
Oh and you could get a 96+ E36 M3 for that price, which would retain it's value I'm sure.
-
Take me for a ride first. I'll text you!

Yes, would order new clutch packs from the states and get it increased to 40% Not sure if I'll have it all done by the 22nd. DCH charge way too much for Diff work.. But hey we'll see!
-
Lambo's have them too. This merc must be a supercar!
-
Can appreciate the effort. Very nice.

Of course I'm sure. I don't use the speedo to get the speeds, way too inaccaurate. My speedo indicates similar. Also I'm running slightly undersized tires at the moment (205/50/15) (At the last track day the tires were correct size however) Bookmark it: http://members.dodo.com.au/~wawawa/revs.htm

Yes, custom ratios would be fantastic. But a 4.1 would make a huge difference. You only use 2nd gear once at Ruapuna, and 6 sections of 3rd gear where 4 of those 6 it is not really near peak power. With a 4.1, 4th could be hooked 3 times per lap, rather than once, with most of the time being spent quite high in 3rd gear. And with R-comps 3rd will be even more effective, with all corners, bar one, being 3rd gear corners, with a higher cornering speed it's going to really shoot out of the curves with the revs right up. And don't get me started on how it'll make the Summit Rd even better to drive We will see though. I see no harm in having a shorter ratio back there.

The 325i isn't really a torque monster like a turbo/4l V8, it stuggles in any gear other than 1st or 2nd to get decent acceleration. I currently have a 3.64 and the speeds in each gear are : 86 in 2nd, 135 in 3rd and 189 in 4th (at 6250rpm), my friends turbo cars have similar in-gear speeds, which is just silly for my 220Nm or so. 3rd gear is the most used gear, and it's too long for the roads my car gets used on, never see's above 5k rpm, when it should be hitting redline.. A 4.1 will reduce those gear speeds to 76, 120, 168. Will add 2 extra shifts up to 4th gear to a lap of Ruapuna, and 2nd gear might be just slightly too short to how I'm used to it now, but the difference it makes in 3rd will make up for all of this. And thanks Brent, Marty has PMed me

I understand this ratio is used for the race series, so there will be a lot of parts hoarding by the competitors ha.. Fair enough. I'm only after the actual gear set so I can bolt my Limited Slip unit inside it. It's exactly what my car needs.. Aaaaaaaand go:

People need to read some build threads http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=22315 First pictures. I can fully recommend the 75D hardness. The road noise barely increased coupled with the huge gain of having a set of rear wheels that don't actually passively turn. Difference was innncredible. Liberal lube and the locktite-ing of bolts on the trailing arm mounts required.

Yeah that's a Panamera. It's getting shot today all over Chch. The R8's sell so fast that they never have stock

Ok, now it can be a proper showroom thread. Just some cars that were hanging around in the lot I took some piccys of.. Thanks to Atta for coming to say hello this evening too! If you are a Porsche/Audi fan, enjoy.

Windows only go up and down when door is open?
|ncary replied to just-drift-it's topic in Maintenance
Mine does this sometimes. The wire loom from the door to the chassis is worn and loses contact when you open/close the door. -
Well thanks all. Just spent the day with Swen at the new Audi dealership shooting a new Q7 and some outside shots of the new building on Tuam with an amazing architecture lens (17mm perspective cancelling), graaate learning experience. The final Q7 image will be composed of 15 or so different images, as I stood all round the car with white and black sheets and flashes to eliminate all reflections and dark spots. And he is shooting the Panamera tomorrow, so look for those shots on the website in the coming days. Spectacular car from the right angles..

Washing/driving/60 mins positioning and shooting different angles = 3 hours. Don't have a high res shot in my possession at the moment sorry..
