  1. And who needs the responce of a supercharger when you can just brake-boost (build boost by braking and gassing at the same time keeping speed constant) and win all the races from a roll! cause once you hit full boost with a RB running a GT68 in 3rd, that sh*t is done!
  2. My mates mate has so many turbo parts he must be a turbocharging factory! I think any turbo with over 30 GT's in it is the best. THat's why I would stay away from the TD04 or th TD05, they only have 4 and 5 seconds of boost in them before you need to let the blow off valve off again. The GT60 is a full minute for maximum snakies down the street outside my house at 2pm. And yeah lol I hear superchargers suck power OUT of the engine! Baaahaha like how do you make power if it is getting turned into belt driven noise and looks??
  3. I had a mate of a mate who put a GT68R45p fledel edition on a RB31detttttt (special super bored out onli 1 of a kind bro), he picked it up off a guy who knows a guy and its real mint, goes hard as. Turbos all the way bro. Superchargers are for muscles cars THAT CANT CORNER LOL RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB FTW ALL OTHER ENGINES ARE sh*t, V8 KILLERZ (not directed at anyone here ) get in before the lock!
  4. Reminds me why the Hondas are always the fastest N/A car down the front straight..
  5. Sorry, did know that, I worded it wrong. Really meant just having a good radiator, oil cooler and a proper set of head studs and maybe even o-ringing.
  6. Turbocharging is much cheaper. Secondhand turbos can be had for crackers and all related bits can be found easily and relitively cheaply. While supercharing retains the throttle responce and exhaust note: huge pluses. Of course both ways need engine beefinguping and a proper ECU. But you don't need boost shady, you haven't got trail braking techniques sorted yet.

What an awesome finish to the race yesterday! Murphey missed out on a podium finish by 0.0042 seconds.. He deserved to win it, he was amazing all day. But a wee bit of racing bad luck hit him hard during one of the safety cars - missed the pit entrance by a few seconds as the yellow flags out, negating precious refueling which ultimately lost him the win. Loved the weather too. Rain, Sun, rain, sun, rain, sun < exactly.
  8. Well, there you have it. I feel embarrassed being the forum veteran I am.
  9. Great deal James. I would love a spare couple of 15weaves, but not this time. Gah.

I hope people are watching! I'm not playing the drinking game, my usual Bathurst watching buddy is out of town. and I have a staff party at the bar tonight. Drinking to excess. Good race so far!
  11. I think a DIY section would be great. If there is a mod many people do, the person who has done it the best/will make the most informative and picture filled DIY thread should take priority on having the rights to the thread. On a related note, I am most of the way through indexing my build thread with multiple links in the first post. A lot of people PM me all the time about the set-up and it would be nice not to write it over and over haha (or have Sent PM's saved, mods?? )
  12. How could you say it's not a case by case basis?? Not everyone is a driving god, pushing the car all the way. Any car with adjustable settings would be different depending on the preferences of the driver, I'd call that a 'case-by-case basis'. Even with spring rates over 3 times stiffer than e30 M3 springs, the huge front camber is used to full-tire-contacting effect because of the bodyroll made by the 'G-Forcez', it's a combination where you need to be cornering hard to actually have grip, otherwise I'd be understeering with only the inside of the tire touching the ground, this would not suit everyone (case-by-case basis?) The outside of the tire wears accordingly from this, (still want more camber, but the new uprated sway bars will negate that). Tires pressures and alignment settings (1mm toe out and 9deg of caster) are pre-researched to be perfect. I've done my investigation. If you want to talk extemely technical theory about angles and geometry, I can, and will. Still have so, so much to learn though. But we don't have many race-car enginners on here so there will be a lot of gaps in the knowledge. But I'm not one to ever spread assumptions and mis-information. And car manufacturers put low profile tires on their new cars for a couple of reasons. Mostly looks, and then a bit of performance. They will build tendancy to undeersteer into the chassis so that highway onramp racers don't get snap oversteer spins from the lack of flex in the tire.
  13. Really depends how you drive and how much roll the car has. For example, I have rather stiff springs and stiff 50 profile Michelins on the front of my car, running -3.4 degrees of camber, and I have massive wear on the outer shoulders, the inside of the tires looks close to new. So it's a case by case thing.
  14. The pipe after where the headers all merge doesn't matter that much. It's all in the headers length, diamater and the distance from the engine where the collecter is. Read this actually http://www.e30m3project.com/e30m3performan...pipe/x-pipe.htm

I wrote an extensive set of rules last year, have mis-placed the list. but, things like 1 drink per lap. 1 drink per overtake. 3 drinks per each pit stop where something goes wrong. 1 drink each time these words are said: 'delaminating', 'sensational', 'fans', 'incident' and 'the lap' (in reference to Murphys 2:06.8 lap in '03) (add more words depending on how keen you are to drink, I'd add 10 more hahaha) 1 half beer per written off car. 1 complete beer, shotgunned, per Roo incident, and whenever a commentator cracks a high in his voice. Some ideas to get you started
  16. Got updated to Gen2 a year ago! Unless you mean the 3.1 software update.. Kind of useless, but I paid my 6 dollars for it.
  17. You won't find something that thick too easily. Will have to look here. and 325s run a 12mm rear bar. Convertibles and M325i's run the 14.5. Hope you like oversteering

    Tsunami warning

^ Incredible story. Really puts it in perspective hearing it written like that. The media sure do distort it..
  19. f**k man, that sucks. Hope to never have that happen, buuuut in P fueled NZ I'm sure it will happen to everyone..
