  2. This thread is now post pics of wide-ons
  3. Must have had a can of whipped cream onboard, cause there ain't no way an E34 could do that.. OOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo
  4. OR like pulling your feet out off the sand near the waters edge over and over
  5. Sounds like a parachute struggling to open
  6. It's only cause the labia you see on the 'aves' here while 'kruzing' is foul, and imagining that pulsating and growing is something they should put in the next Saw movie. Saw 7 'This summer, the christchurch labia are making you choose, life or death'
  7. I had to google that term, that is foul hahahaha
  8. There are 2 springs on the throttle body which spring it back. Flick one end off the stopper and let it unwind one turn on each spring. And spary some teflon lube down the throttle cable. It's so soft after that, driving in anything but the thinnest race shoes leads to hairy throttle useage. But with race shoes on, brilliant.
  9. 'ang on a minute. The calipers are indeed backwards. If that actually is the front right (it should be because the caliper is on the side of the hub closest to the rear of the car) then the rotor will be turning clockwise, where as the arrow is pointing counterclockwise. There looks to be a alternative location for the bleed nipple on the caliper at the other end of the Racing Brakes logo. Have they sent them to you with the nipple in the wrong place? Who knows really.. As for uneven wear, if only 1 brake duct is connected, then that is for sure a major part of the reason. Also Hampton is mostly right hand turns, so the left side front brake will do a lot more work, but that is the pad which is worn out less... Ahaa tricky, tricky problem..
  10. When I hit the laps I take the springs out and roll round on the b-stops all night. Gets some mad respect and lots of people want to see a skid, they yell 'SKIIIID, SKIIIIIID, DO A SKIIIID' etc

    M325i vs SR20DET.

I spent a good few hours last month swapping multiple PM's with someone in the states who wanted me to send me my mounts. He said he'd pay shipping!! Haahahahaha. It was painful trying to explain what he needed to do, this is it: Get an SR block and an E30 chassis, and took them to any decent customs shop. They'd whip them up in no time. I hope to have a nice wee welding cert sometime over summer, so NZer's: if you can wait, I can sell you some decent as mounts.

    M325i vs SR20DET.

Ahhh, mixed up myself. Yeah it's much better than the 2nd gear only A track! Made a good seal on that muffler there and screamed into it as loud as possible. Another person can put their ear on the other end and comfortably listen. Stoked! Not a fan of ultra loud cars, from what I've seen they get you in too much trouble.. The whole system will be painted. Most likely bright orange...
  14. More to it now. The car is even worse than first assessed. There is rust in 3 of the doors. Rust through the sill on the drivers side that has been poorly bogged up. Lots of broken bits. Eg: Money is being refunded this week sometime (so he says), otherwise it's off into the legal system! And it looked fine in the trademe pics, sigh. None of these things were described in the auction by the way. And when my friend asked why this fool had not told him about the rust etc, he said: 'But you didn't ask if there was rust in the sills and doors He definitely asked about rust, I heard him, he just wasn't specific about the location..... I'm tempted to post this guys picture so some of you awesome aucklanders can give him some sh*t if you ever see him!
  15. Ahaa not that much. Just driven a lot of different tires. Mmmm practical experience

    M325i vs SR20DET.

Well, plans to get to Pendulum failed hard. So used the money saved to buy this: 2.5 inch pipe, 15in bullet resonator and 'triple flow' free flowing muffler. Total cost you ask? At least 400 bucks most likely. 190+GST. www.chase.co.nz Sourcing a cheap flexi pipe and a 180 degree bend to weld in where needed. Or might get that pipe I have bent at an exhaust shop for beer. But flexi pipe is needed for sure (will be going back to softer engine mounts soon) That is all, will have cool pics of it all done this week sometime.
  17. Michelin Pilot Preceedas then. Amazing rubber. Close to the performance of the Sport and much cheaper really.
  18. Can't find the picture I'm thinking of to explain this visually, but if you are confused I'll draw one. Jimmy the black top off the unit and underneath you will see a gold arm that runs over a black contact area. What happens is the little contact dots on the arms cut through this black stuff with many k's of car use. Get some needle nose pliers and grab 1 side of the gold U-arm as close as you can to the center of rotation and bend it down, repeat on the other end of the gold Uarm thing. The contact points will now be on a different track, and should have stable resistance! You know what, I'll draw a non-patronising pic Damn studying sucks, look at the time ^
  19. wat. Sounds sneaky as hell.
  20. Houndstooth: Every facelift sports seat I've been in (maybe 5 or so) pails in comparison to the prefacelift seats. There's a much deeper 'bucket' feeling with the pre-f/l, they're softer, and have some semi-decent bolsters (once you get the seat up close to the wheel at the track so you can actually use the bolsters rather than hanging off the wheel) On topic: Nice Tech2 really!
  21. Michelin. Pilot Sports. The engineering that goes into a tire by Michelin surpasses all others. There's a reason they put Pilots on the new M3..

Yeah it was, with the huuuge link-up into turn 2 at the end of the straight.
