Welcome. Nice, tidy E30. Auto or manual?
-
When the car drives out the driveway and the cash is in hand.....that is when the car is sold! Taking it for an inspection does mean the person is interested but hey its only a couple of hundred dollars at the most for them to get it checked and in the whole scheme of things (20k) its a pittence. Things may not pan out for them and forgoing the small inspection cost is nothing. Hey ive done it before. Id be leaving that car on trade me till the deals done. Good luck BTW the car is beautiful!

I was interested in this car. I have been in a couple of times to view it over the last month. Its very straight and tidy with full service history. The guy wants $15995 and wont go $1 under. Every time I speak to the salesmen he gives me the talk about someones coming form here and someones coming from there to buy it. I note it hasnt moved from its position on the lot. Only reason I have not brought is because I really want one slightly newer 2000+ and maybe closer to the 100k mark and yes I do know Ill be paying more than this one. IMO the price is about right but I could be wrong as it hasnt been snapped up!

My thoughts exactly!
-
I think 8k is a very realistic price.
-
Youre right, prices are all over the place at the moment. I dont like giving guesstimates as sometimes it can offend people but I think youre someone who wont take it to heart if you dont like my opinion Obviously you have to price the car according to whats on the market because people will compare yours to others out there. Put it this way, it is definatly NOT a <6k car but not >9k IMO. Made this based on whats "out there" at present. Mact on here has a 95 NZ New E36 motorsprt coupe in black done 108k with tan leather & FSH for sale on trade me at the moment for $9k ono. BTW, I would love to see some pics of it. It sounds very nice!

lol From memory E30 M3's were only worth 10k last week! Looks theyre appreciating at a great rate of knots.

Wow, huge changes. Not a fan of the wing and the boost button is too fast and the furious for my liking. Good Post.

oh and people who cant drive! Still cant get over those comments

IMO I reckon its good buying. Camera body, 2 lenses and by the sounds of it a memory card is all you need. I bet that if someone bids the $450 start price, by the time the auction closes it will be higher than the $550 buy now. Just my opinion thou. One of the gurus may have a better idea. Far better buying than the Panasonic one you suggested earlier.
-
Ohhhhh, youve ruined his surprise Seen that on trade me too. Love the colour!
-
Tell me about it! That one I gave a link to was $350 about an hour ago.....now he's lifted it to $450! Must have thought it was worth a bit more

You would be better off getting one where you can change the lenses if need be. It will last you a lot longer and you wont be limited to one like you have shown, especially when you get the hang of things and want to develop your photography skills. Your budget is tight but if youre quick you could try getting the guy to do a buy now on this one for $350 Got to be cheaky sometimes http://www.trademe.co.nz/Electronics-photo...n-202628573.htm

Where in this topic did you say you wanted an auto, easy to drive, and small? All you said was "Do Want. Wonder if he'd swap for a nice E46?"

When the driver is a she! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTaIRLjpKdE Love the 4th one of the women trying to park.

Beautiful! I want one now More photos of it please

This kind of info is fantastic. Its good to know that you hardly noticed a difference between the quality of the picture between the 18-55 & 17-85, apart from the wider angle and bigger zoom I assume. To be honest, im a noob and will probably not notice anything with regards to picture quality. That would be fantastic! There are many options with this camera and various kit lenses.

Robert is a member of Bimmersport - 65GTMUSTANG. From memory he's from Levin. I saw it in person a couple weeks ago at the BMW car clubs show and shine in Peka Peka. He has done a very very good job! It very tidy. The sounds it produces is beautiful. Edit: If you do a search on here you can find all the info from start to finish on it.

When I was in the store yesterday the guy said the standard 18-55mm kit lens is a bit mean on the 40D. He suggested the 17-85 IS as a good alround lens for it and to start off with. Its around the $1k mark so really want to make sure its the right one to get. Im pleased you mentioned it as its making my decision a little easier.

I would love the 50D but its a little bit out of my price range.
