No1 rule: Pre-Purchase Inspection! Worth their weight in gold if it turns out to be a dud

Is that a good price in todays market thou? Is it a genuine hamann spec car? In all honesty, I would rather a stock standard one if I was looking at throwing that much coin at a car. That one just looks like its been dicked around with too much. Only my opinion thou. Carzyarab's car has my vote

A big difference if its from Singapore! Selling points would be the service history and it being manual. I reckon its prob worth somewhere between $4000-$4500. There is a similar one on Trade Me done 140k for $5000 at present

Hi Allan, Im guessing its a 318is? Is it NZ New? 2 door or 4? All these things will make a bit of a difference in working out a price. Cheers Brett

Agreed! Pet hate is someone who lists a tiptronic as a manual

I think most dealers will do a written valuation for somewhere between $50-$100

I love it how people always want to pull parts from your car when youre trying to sell the whole thing! IMO the rims will sell the car, so why would he want to part it out? "Ill buy your exhaust if you are willing to part bro"

BMWTouring, Ive been down this track. Are you wanting to put the superlows all round? or just on the front? Also, what size rims? 17"? Originally I put King springs superlows all round on my E36. It looked good, def did not look too low either. I lasted about 1 month with them in. They are not practical! I couldnt go up driveways, over judder bars, railway lines etc without scraping the sh*t out of my car. Not to mention failing a WOF due to the rears not being captive and being only 60mm off the ground at the chasis rail! At present I have King springs Low's on there. Far more practical and does not scrape (you still have to be careful) It sits about 95mm off the ground at the chasis rail which is less than the legal 100mm but the WOF guys pass it. IMO I would not put superlows in you car. Theyre more trouble than theyre worth! * First photo shows superlows. Front guard sits 10mm over tire, Rear guard covers half of tire. * Second photo shows lows. Front guard sits level with tire, Rear guard sit level with tire. Hope this info helps with you decision. I just wish I had this info when I went down this track Cheers Brett

Max, I cant help but laugh at your comment! Cant quite work out why you wont be able to go away for new years thou? Its only a dented door, not a write off by any means.

As Nick021 says. It will be a cock up by the wof inspector at the time of inspection. Dont be worried at all. This happens to about every second car during its life.

Good Luck trying to find the person who did it and even if you do find them good luck trying to proove they did it and getting them to pay! It Sux big time! Its happend to me a number of times. Paint scrapes, pushed in bumpers, smashed tail lights....the list goes on. If its a absolute must and I have to take my car to the supermarket or mall I park as far away from the door as possible. Today, everyone is too fat and lazy to walk that far that I never have any problems. or I take to Mrs Corolla

I know its a different city but I had a set of 17" mags & tires sent from ChCh to Wgtn for under 100 slides not that long ago. You should be able to get them here reasonably cheap. Pays to ring around.
