I highly doubt it, 16's hug them nicely.
-
Should be fine, you are welcome to come and try them out if you like?
-
Cant measure by offset, it really depends on the wheel design and how flat the spokes are at the back. I have fitted 16" BBS RS's, 17" BBS RS's and 18" Rays Sebring wheels to them and they all fitted.
-
Thanks! Edited, try again. Its my E30 33ti project post, near the top of the 1st page.

Hi all, I am selling my E30 wilwood adapted front spindles, struts (if wanted, lower spring perches removed for coilover conversion) brake rotor hats, rotors, calipers and race pads. Will fit under 16" or larger wheels, and require longer than factory wheel bolts, or fit studs (or I can supply stud adapters) Open to reasonable offers, just wanting to cover the cost of another pair of calipers for my E36 5 stud conversion. I have used them for about 300k's driving. Pictures at E30 335ti Will swap for E46 324mm discs and bilstein or koni E36 front struts.
-
Looking good, those are a set of RS's I made before I decided to go to 5 stud, they work out all right for you? The guy I sold them to never ended up using them on a car.

I was only joking, you are still an absolute legend for sorting me with a block! I may still use the newer filter housing to make a remote filter setup, I HATE these cartridge oil filters.... I think I will be saving my pennies to buy your turbo block as a spare at the rate I am going....
-
Exhaust manifold was by Damien Martin of A1 turbos, it does the job. If I did it again I would bottom mount for sure Oh and you owe me $50, you CAN use an old style oil filter housing, just need to put 1 grub screw in the secondary return that BMW already drilled and tapped inside the filter housing mount on the block

Auckland, North Shore i will try to photograph tomorrow.

Hi all, These came with an interior set I bought, too tired for me to use but someone might want them. With a good cleanup they would look respectable if your old seats were ripped. First reasonable offer takes them or they go in the bin

Hi all, after upgrading to ali flywheel and tilton clutch, I have a sub 2000k's clutch plate/pressure plate and flywheel to suit M30 motors. Wont work if you require the timing sensors in your gearbox, but fine for others. Open to offers, around $300? Cheers! EDIT: Photos added

Just had the turbo &*^*&^ itself as we upped the static oil pressure on the new motor. Didnt change the restrictor on the turbo feed and blew its poor little seals out Maybe its time to fit the big turbo..... Got some pics of how it looks as of when the motor went in.

OK, a bit of progress since the broken block incident: - Obtained a new block thanks to Martyyn, BTW his M30 turbo is a nice build, hope somebody has bought it by now! - Block was honed and decked by the AWESOME guys at engine specialties, I know a bunch of other BMW guys use them too, they are the men! - all new gaskets and bearings provided by Carl at Engine Parts (next to Engine Specialties workshop) If you ever need any engine parts go see Carl (and tell him I sent you) - Salvaged the low comp pistons and lightened rods from the old block - Match ported and polished the head while it was all in pieces - Bought a twin plate (kevlar) clutch and custom ali flywheel from the states. 6.915 Kg versus my lightened steel setup at 15.2Kg. Was made for an M30 turbo over there, the guy didnt want to use it because he wanted a flywheel with the timing marks for his factory loom which used the sensors in the gearbox! - Pieced the whole thing together and bunged it in the hole - Started it up, so shortly it is time to find a dyno before I break anything *again*....

Yeah its too dangerous for a married man im not in any hurry to sell it though, so great to have a huge wagon to lug car stuff around in. plan is to chuck a VH45 or 1UZ in it eventually.
-
Yes I am the one with the wagon and the wheels the story is: I bought the wheels as sh*tters, imported the outer lips from germany and rebuilt them specifically for my 335. They are now 5x114.3 (adapters used for merc) and 5x120! Never intended to put them on the merc at all, it was purely a 'trial fitment' If somebody reaaaaaaaally wants them and has cash they want to put in my face right now then I will sell for $3500 plus $380 for the tyres that are on them now, I just picked up a different set of wheels to sell the merc on and have just had to fork out for a complete rebuild yet again on the 335..... so take advantage while you can of my weakness Cheers Damo.

This is basically how the block is cracked, note the grey line along one side which denotes the crack.
-
Hi all, I am after either a bare M30 B34 or b35 block, or a short engine (block/head) that have no obvious problems. I know you have a complete long motor Brent, did you have any short blocks? Anyone else able to help out by digging that motor out from under the coffee table? Thanks in advance Damian.
-
You are right it was a typo 800 rears 400 fronts, but I still had to increase the fronts to 600lb after a bit of test driving, it felt pretty sloppy in the front end until I did.
-
OK all, I still havent posted any pictures of her out of the garage and its already broken!!!! In testing I have SMASHED the block to pieces. It is cracked right along the exhaust side from back to front through every water gallery. Looks like the block I used had a small crack and I finished it off. live and learn! Sooooo, the head is off yet again awaiting a new block. Does anyone have a b34 or b35 block /short engine/complete engine they want to sell/donate to the project?
-
Yeah the first incarnation of it I kept the full factory length runners, and now that we have gone to the new intake which is half that length I certainly dont notice any difference in top end breathing as you would expect with the turbo. Will take her for some more road tunes hopefully next week, and post some more pictures then.
-
Thats the million dollar question! Not yet. I have developed my own engine management system and this is the test vehicle, so I have quite a bit of fine tuning there before it is worth hopping on the dyno. Cant wait to do it though.....
-
For brakes, I now use wilwood superlites up front, still stock in rear but it is all changing shortly to e36 hubs so will put superlites all round. Springs are 800lb in front, 400lb in rear, ground control camber plates/hats in front. Converted rear to coilover with modified FC3S RX7 rear KYB adjustable coilovers. Front uses adjustable bilsteins in factory tubes with coilover sleeves.
-
Next, I made a new intake as the old one put the throttle into the side of the body:

Hi all - been a couple of years (and a couple of non-BMW's) since I posted here! Right, the E30 M30 3.5 turbo is back on the road. EDIT: (slightly more recent engine bay pic)
-
Howdy, Dont know exactly how far you got there with the mockup, but I have just got my E30 335ti back on the road. I f you want to know anything about the conversion just drop me a line. Cheers, Damo.
