Oh was this your new car you brought to OCD last week? I thought it must have been a loan car for some reason! Keen to see results from a tune, 210kw and 600nm is impressive from factory. So is the plan to have this as a daily driver?

Expensive tyres? Look forward to seeing what you chose!

I agree mate, fronts are ok but 5mm more profile in the rear plus maybe 10mm spacer would sit nicely. I want to make sure they won't rub as-it, I've had some pretty bad rubbing issues with other wheels on this car in the past (but to be fair they were 10.5in wide!) Me too was so lucky they turned up at the right time! Yep running H&R race springs - from memory about 35-40mm drop, so not massively different to stock. Edit: another pic that shows the colour better, they're quite dark IMG_0856 by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Compared to the CSL's on the front (slightly different angle, but you get the idea): IMG_2983 by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

I disagree - I think they really suit the car's shape (that said, I'm also a big fan of mixing vintage of wheels and chassis). The world would be a boring place if we were all the same!

Picked up some more wheels today - Style 219M's. I finally get the chance to detail & coat the CSL Style 163's with C.Quartz! Wing painted & mounted in time for the rally next weekend. Still need to put new M3 badges on, polish & CQuartz. Went with half-painted leaving the bare carbon underneath. 1 by Christian Taylor, on Flickr 5 by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

No thanks, I don't like autos ... Wait for it...

Thanks for your kind words Simon, it was our pleasure to work on your vehicle.

They're on, and looking amazing. Carbon3 by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Carbon1 by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Really completes the interior imo. Haha thanks - It's a PITA but it'll all be worthwhile soon when I mount it up

Glorious carbon fiber has arrived I'm so glad I chose to save a bit longer so I could afford matching front & rear armrests. This'll complete my interior conversion to cf. 20160317_182233_HDR by Christian Taylor, on Flickr The car is currently in many bits in our showroom. I hope to get an hour or two over the next few days to start fitting it up. I've taken the opportunity to strip the leather coating from the seats & plastic coating from the panels and give them both a deep clean. 20160317_171139_HDR by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

Have a look under the wheel treatments here mate http://www.ocdetailing.co.nz/ceramic-coatings.html

Very nice car, and a rare find in such good condition. Best of luck with sale!!
-
Oh yeah, looking forward to seeing what they look like on the car!

Yep, goneburger - it seemed to be well priced and immaculate (30,000kms from memory). Future fast-appreciating classic right there. Hope it stays in NZ - so many of these rare vehicles are being shipped offshore. Can't say I blame the owners/sellers, given what people in other countries will pay compared to here.

Updates! I've ordered carbon fiber replacements for the interior door handles (front & rear). This is the last of the oem trim I have yet to replace with carbon fiber, so I'm pretty excited to see what it'll look like. Pics once the parts arrive & I fit them up. I also ordered a carbon fiber ashtray cover - can't find any pics online but it's this bit here: Ashtray by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

Bit late to the party, but I've been running Invos for a while now & have no complaints. For a road tyre they grip well & are reasonably quiet. Wear seems ok too, I've done a track day, a skid pad event, two rallies and a few late night drives & still have some tread left. Plus, they don't produce any harmonics on the e46 m3 chassis (like they do with some other cars). For the price they're well worth it. Plus, that tread pattern

Not many updates for a while as I haven't driven this car much recently. Went to the skidpad a few weeks ago tho - it was heaps of fun! MTOYSkidPad7 by Christian Taylor, on Flickr MTOYSkidPad5 by Christian Taylor, on Flickr MTOYSkidPad6 by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

Thank you for coming to us! Here's the front lip: 323i5 by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

I'm also a fan of VS-XX on the e46, although if you go that way I'd recommend a size smaller than I had on MTOY - pic for reference to compare to the much better sizing on Charl's car above: Full2 by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

Wow awesome car Amber! Look forward to seeing what direction you're going to take on this! If you're after carbon fiber parts, I can't recommend Andrey at BG enough, his 2x2 weave is amazing and they're perfect fitment. http://carbonized-bg.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=3&Itemid=5
