  1. I never took note of them unfortunately. I still have the box for the swaybars under the house which is why I knew that but didn't keep anything else. Next time I have it jacked up I'll have a closer look to see what I can spot
  2. They H&R 33211-1, so 27mm front and 20mm rear The resonator is double inlet, single outlet, so just replaced this with a Y pipe. There is a small amount of drone, only really noticeable at 1800-2000 rpm under load, so up a hill around town in 4th gear is the kind of scenario. None on the motorway, and none around town except as described. Easily avoided by changing to 3rd, or leaving it in 5th. Don't get me wrong, it's not totally "drone free" but that to me is minor enough to not bother me at all. Definitely no noticeable change to fuel economy or power either.
  3. It sounds great, I really love it! I actually did it in steps as I didn't want it to be too loud, so first I fitted it with the resonator still there. I guess with the powerloop it still "muffles" pretty well because it was barely any louder than stock which was pretty disappointing. Now its much better with the resonator gone, exactly how I wanted it to sound.
  4. Now that you mention it, they will be Eibach springs, I couldn't quite remember haha. I'll edit the first post. Definitely H&R swaybars though! Yellow brakes have to be better, right? Doesn't that automatically make them carbon ceramics?? ?
  5. New seals and dustboots on the fronts but kept the stock pistons as they were still in perfect nick. I replaced the rear pistons with 'Centric' replacement units as one of the rears had a chip on one of the ceramic pistons so just replaced all 4 so they match.
  6. I got the handbrake boot from hubauer shop...https://www.hubauer-shop.de/en/bmw-performance-handbrake-grip-w-gaiter-34402153754.html they only deliver in Europe so I used youshop to send it down here from the UK. That was before youshop added on GST though so made it a tad cheaper than it would be now, but still probably more expensive than it really should be. The silver part is kinda cheap plastic too which I don't really like. I'd be tempted to keep the alcantara boot and swap to a Storm handbrake lever or similar, but this one is all one piece so would be a bit of hassle. Maybe could try and remake the stock on in alcantara as a bit of a project one day?? I got the splitters from Ali Express, again back when shipping was a bit cheaper and more reliable than it is now. The fitment was pretty poor though, I had to redrill the mounting holes, and it still doesn't line up perfectly so I'm tempted to try and find another (better) set.
  7. I've been meaning to post here for ages, but finally getting around to it now! After owning a few Audis and VWs I was itching to get back into a BMW, and really wanted to be driving a manual again. I had several E30s when I was younger and wanted something with that kind of small car feel, but more modern, safer, and with 4 doors for getting the kids in and out of their car seats. Pretty quickly I realised the 130i fitted the bill perfectly. Great daily driver on the commute, even better for a weekend back road blast, and with enough room to fit the kids in too (just). After looking for a short while, I managed to pickup this 2007 LCI, with the all important hydraulic power steering, with 125000km on the clock for $8500. Bargain!! That was back in April 2019, and I pretty much immediately set about with the "improvements." To be honest, I've gone a bit overboard and spent significantly more than the purchase price again, but man what a fun car! Puts a smile on my face every day in a way my old Golf R never really could. The mods done are as follows: Engine: Simota intake Supersprint backbox with resonator delete MILVs purchased but not yet fitted. To be done soon when I do valve cover gasket, then a tune to follow... Drivetrain: BMW performance short shifter CDV delete plus braided clutch hose Quaife LSD Redline gearbox and diff fluid Suspension/Chassis Birds B1 dynamic kit - Biltstein dampers, Eibach springs and H&R sway bars E9X M3 front control arms and radius arms Camber pin mod, and max front camber Whiteline rear subframe inserts E81 rear chassis brace Brakes 135i brake upgrade - 6 piston front and 2 piston rear calipers with dimpled/slotted discs and EBC redstuff pads. Calipers painted brembo red with brembo decals (just 'cause :-p) Braided hoses all round Wheels and Tyres BBS RE 847 18 x 8 ET35 Front, and RE 848 18 x 9 ET45 Rear. Lightweight forged BBS Japan goodness! Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport tyres - 225/40/18 Front, 245/35/18 Rear. These tyres are AWESOME, can't recommend highly enough! Styling Carbon front splitters and carbon mirror caps outside BMW Performance shift knob and alcantara shift boot, plus BMW performance alcantara handbrake Other than that there have been a few maintenance items to do but nothing interesting. It's pretty much perfect now, from my perspective. Just got to get those MILVs fitted plus the tune! Maybe down the track I'll think about headers too, but that's well into the too hard/expensive basket for now. Here's a couple of pics I took post-wash last weekend. Let me know what you think ? Only letting me upload 3 pics for now, so more soon...
  8. It seems that was just a UK thing. All the LCI ones I have looked at here still had the hydraulic steering too, check some engine bay photos, the reservoir is there! That’s pretty much what has sold me on getting an LCI because you can get the best of everything!
  9. Yeah I had seen that. Got my heart set on a manual though and definitely willing to pay extra for manual and low k’s together.
  10. Hi all, looking to get back into a BMW after a recent string of VWs. Pretty set on a manual 130i, and would prefer a 2007+ Facelift (LCI) one. Open to any colour except black (blue or grey preferred) and budget $15k-ish could go a little more for the right one. Also ideally would be on the lower side of mileage, less than 100kms definitely preferable but open to more if in good nick and with good maintenance history. Hopefully that’s not being too picky!! Let me know what’s out there... cheers, Matt
  11. Having some issues with the windscreen wipers misbehaving. Have already replaced the control module, and the stalk, so next on the list is the motor. Part number on my one is 67638353433, but real-oem suggests part number might also be 61638353433. Cost to get a new one is outrageous, so anyone got a good second hand one available?
  12. Oops, sorry hadn't checked back in a while! just texted you now...
  13. The sway bars? They will fit any E30
  14. Moving house and have found a couple of E30 bits still lying around in there from the old days. Front and rear sway bars from 325i. $20, must be picked up from Parnell before Sunday (9th). Standard rear speaker covers. Brand new, still in bag. $10, can post anywhere for extra $5. Have attached photos of each. First in first served!

An RS4 wagon would suit you nicely I reckon Dylan. You always end up selling your cars before I get to have a good look at them! Might have to give you a text soon to pop around for a nosey at this one before it goes.
  16. That would be awesome if you don't mind checking it out for me. I wil send you a PM some time today when I get the chance!
  17. Has anyone been to check this out and can report back, or would any e30 savvy Wellington people like to go and look at it for me? Alternatively, someone else talk me out of spending over $10k on an e30 with 400,000ish k's on the body! Even though it sounds like a lot has been replaced/upgraded, that many k's must be taking a toll somewhere right?
  18. Yeah I really don't like the wheels at all. I wonder whether the brake setup needs to have big wheels for clearance? I miss having an e30,this is pretty tempting, although $11.5k? Hmmm
  19. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=661543770 Anyone know this car? From carjam it looks to be one of Ray's old ones, with the HELLBM plate, most likely this one he sold in 2009. http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/21510-hellbm-e30-touring/?hl=touring Looks like a bit has been updated since then. Must be nearly 400,000km on the body though! Does anyone know the story with the Evo 3 calipers and Nissan patrol discs as well? Sounds like an interesting upgrade. $11.5k seems like quite a lot for it, but in saying that there aren't too many around like it, bar Apex's old one.
  20. Think I've still got most of my boot carpet left sitting in my garage. Can check tonight. Yours free if you want to come pick it up from Parnell.

    COFFEE!

Has to be Supreme beans for me, especially their single origins. Currently enjoying the Bob-o-link from Brazil very much, although the Mt Raung from Java is another favourite. Always have it freshly ground from a Hario ceramic burr hand grinder, and at work made using a Aeropress, at home either stovetop or aeropress. Mmmmm... Gonna have one right now!
  22. Auctions finish tonight so be ready and don't miss out!
  23. Yes I do. there is a hole/tear on each side from where my rear shock mounts blew through but that can't really be seen when they are fitted. PM or text me if you are interested.
  24. Sorry mate, already sold. I have now listed a few more parts. Will maybe have a few things to add next week but otherwise this is pretty much it! Visit My Website
