Also... Don't suppose anyone is interested in a rust free, non-sunroof, 2 door shell?? Still has live rego even! Can possibly chuck a 4 stud suspension setup back on it to get it rolling if someone is really interested.

Bye bye E30! Will be listing a whole bunch of other little bits and pieces over the next couple of days. Nothing particularly rare or special, but plenty of smaller parts. If anyone is after anything in particular that I haven't listed yet then ask me and I'll let you know if I still have it or not. Otherwise, I'll post again once auctions are up. PS. Engine + gearbox not available (although oil cooler is!) Edit: Damn! I thought I had flipped that photo. Oh well, I'm sure you'll get the idea

Steering wheel sold for $296

Yep, already have them sitting in my car for you! Has been a busy weekend stripping the car down but I am stoked with how the auctions have run. Definitely proven worth my while rather than trying to sell the car whole I feel!
-
Most of these auctions are ending TONIGHT!!! Get your act together and don't miss out on some of these rare parts!
-
I could do them together if you wanted. They have only been in the car for about a year, done maybe 15000kms. As far as I know they aren't showing any signs of wear, these are top quality bushes and pretty much designed to last a lifetime. I will give them a close inspection this weekend once I start stripping the rest of the car.
-
Knowing you that car will be for sale long before I can afford it! I'm suprised it's not already haha
-
I'll the let the auctions run separately at this stage and see how they go before I look at package deals. Are you after the whole lollipop mount or just the bush? The bushes are Powerflex urethane, as are the rear trailing arm bushes and the rear subframe bushes. I was thinking I would start an auction this weekend selling them as a group, maybe $250 reserve?
-
I'll see how the auction goes at this stage thanks

Selling one on trademe now. Will require a rebuild though. Visit My Website

One day I will buy another E30 and regret selling a lot of these parts haha. The next one might have to be an m3 to make up for it all. That will be many years down the track though! All good if you guys want to split the bodykit parts up and pay me separately but I'll leave it up to you to figure out the logistics of it all.

Sweet, rack now Ashkans...

Front setup is all E36 M3 evo. Control arms with e30 m3 offset bushes, e36 m3 evo hubs, spindles, and brakes combined with Bilstein sport struts to suit e36 m3 evo. This bolts right up and e30 springs fit this setup. The control arms have been presold to someone else but the rest is for sale. Rear setup is completely e36 318ti from the subframe down but with e30 325i axles to fit to E30 diff.

Carpet is one of the parts letting the car down at the moment unfortunately. It is ripped around the accelerator pedal and has lost a bit of shape around the sills. I can take pictures if you want but it is probably better off going in the skip.

Steering rack is E36. I converted it using this method. I was never really happy with the setup, I don't think I got it quite right with the combining of the e36 and e30 joints. I can however, supply the e36 rack with power steering hoses made to suit E30 (this is the hard part!!), and the required spacers to someone if they want it. I don't want to supply the steering shaft with the combined e30/e36 joints though, it would be up to the buyer to start this again themselves. Let me know if interested.
-
Yes, I would be happy to do that for bimmersport members.

Yep, of all the parts, those seats are the things I am most struggling to part with but oh well, they gotta go! Car was originally an automatic 318i converted to 325 manual by previous owner, most of the other good stuff was added by me after years of collecting parts. The car was a total turd when I bought it and I have spent too long trying to polish it. Engine is fine on it (but presold) but car needs lots more time, money and effort spent on it to get it where I would want it and I can't be bothered anymore. I assure you it would be a hard sell in its current state if I was to ask the amount I am hoping to get in parts!

Hi Guys, As per the title, I am parting out my E30. Have started a bunch of auctions this evening and will be doing a bunch more tomorrow night. There are lot of very rare and interesting parts that I will be selling so have a look through my trademe auctions and see if anything tickles your fancy. Check out my listings Here A pic of my car for reference... Let me know if there is anything I haven't yet listed that you might be particularly interested in. Cheers!!

Brent, is your friend selling any of his tourings by chance?
-
Yeah I'm thinking maybe it is worth stretching the budget for an e39. Although it would probably require me to sell my E30, when I was planning on keeping 2 cars. I am definitely sick of it, I am just struggling with how much money I will probably lose on it after all the work I've done haha. I have to say though, an E39 will definitely have to have leather, they just don't look nice inside at all with the cloth interior. I have also just seen how cheap 530i m-sport sedans have gotten! Can anyone tell me if the rear seats can fold down on the sedans? Obviously they'll never be as good as a wagon for throwing the boards in but maybe a compromise could be achieved with fold down seats, I wonder...
-
Cheers for the info. I kind of figured it would be a long shot on the manual but worth asking haha. This one on trademe would be perfect, pity it is in Levin though!
-
I'm sick of using the e30 for surfing trips so I figure an e34 wagon/touring would be the go! Preferences: -2.5L or larger engine (can't help but think the 520i would be a bit gutless on the open road. Comments?) -Manual (will settle for an auto though if the rest of the car is in great nick -Leather (a preference but definitely not a necessity) -Black dashboard (there is little I hate more than a beige dashboard and they seem to be too common on 5 series!) I am in Auckland so would prefer something local rather than taking a punt on something I can't see in the flesh before buying. I would prefer to spend under $5k but could (reluctantly) stretch the budget for the perfect car. Let me know what you've got! Edit: Damn, put this in the wrong section! Can a mod please move for me?

^^ That was me. Stupid car let me down, all fixed now though thankfully. Didn't see you this morning, AJ, but saw you last week. Your car is looking VERY tidy, wish mine was as nice as that. One day!

I checked the bolts that mount the rack to the crossmember the other day and they were nice and tight. I am not sure if there a spacers there or not though, I'll need to check again. So thinking about it... If the spacers are missing, this will mean the rack is sitting to low, which could mean the shaft isn't quite seated correctly which could be causing the slack. Does this sound right??
-
My coupling attaches the e36 lower end to the e30 upper end with an aluminium spacer. This bit doesn't seem to have any slop in it. The slack seems to be further down, possibly in the rack itself when I wiggle the steering shaft around in the engine bay. Like I said, the weird thing is that it doesn't always do it
