  1. Its not all about a free flowing exhaust to the turbo to help the engine breathe better. Its about the manifold preserving the exhaust energy to help spool the turbo. Well designed log manifolds can be good (TCD log manifold for example, good for 400HP), but the DA manifold is crap because it introduces more turbulence and bends than is needed + the big chamber all the runners go into reduce exhaust gas velocity. A individual runner manifold is even better as the exhaust gas pulses from other cylinders dont interfere with each other and it is possible to run split entry turbos to their potential (can be done with two log manifolds on a 6 cyl aswell though).

  4. Log manifolds made properly can make good power. But the DA one isnt even a good design, it goes from a small runner from the exhaust port into a big chamber while making a 90* turn, any change in direction is going to slow the gases down (which means less energy to spool the turbo).
  5. Then why do you see all the high HP cars running manifolds with separate runners for each cylinder like this? Separate runners are needed to keep velocity and pulse energy as high as possible DA Motorsports is a joke, theres stuff about them all over bimmerforums.
  6. Hey im after a E32 735i booster (vacuum type, not hydro assisted) and master cylinder. Also the metal bit that goes between the booster and the firewall.
  7. Are you joking? Manifold design plays a huge roll in how the turbo will spool and respond.

  9. Manual or auto? In my 320 (which is auto) I find 80-90kph uses alot more gas than sitting at 110. At 80~ I guess the torque converter isnt fully locked up

  11. Im talking about the engine / blower setup. Would make it real front heavy and handling would be crap.
  12. I think our 98 octane = their 93 octane? Not 100% sure. Check www.bimmerforums.com about the supercharger kit, lots of supercharged bmw's on there.
  13. Im not sure how EWS works, but ive heard it is part of the body? Anyway, you can chip your ECU, with a EWS disabled chip - if thats the problem.
