Im also building a m50 turbo e30 at the moment, engine is in pieces at the moment getting a freshen up before it goes in. Theres alot of nice m50 turbos around on the net, someone linked to Protomors build on e30tech, his build is so rough haha. Whats gearbox are you using? Unsprung clutches are pretty hard on gearboxes aswell.

Apparntly the counter weights of the 2.8 crank will hit the the m20 block. But it dosent take much to make it fit.

From my understanding it was quite reliable and he drove it quite alot.

Way to be a f**king dickhead about someones car.

Was at pick a part the other week and saw a 328 there, pulled the valve cover off and it looked exactly like that, you could pick the sludged up oil with your fingers and it would just come off in layers.

Its been done on stock internals before, 21~psi 480~whp

Some ballbag cop tryed to fine me $150 for my exhaust "not sounding like a beemer should" (his exact words). Standard exhaust and everything.

Because some people have dynamic ip's which change.

Im pretty sure the getrag 240 will work on a m42.
-
Possibly a bent trailing arm. I doubt you will even compress a spring by just going over bumps etc.
-
Is that one off trademe? Or maybe thats on 22"s
-
Wait, so if we pay the $75 deposit, and then there isnt enough people to go. We dont get the $75 back?
-
Isnt the m50b25 intake supposed to be a good upgrade for the m52 ? Since it is alot bigger.
-
Lol, could easily be made into a blonde joke
-
No, it has no exhaust the pipe with the flames coming from it is the exhaust from the turbo, not the wastegate.
-
What colour is the smoke?
-
If you can get it done cheap (ie, less than $100) its well worth it. Id never pay the $400+ they ask for a original chip

Easyiest way to check to see if it is 1.0 or 1.1/3 is to unplug the ECU and see how many rows of pins there is. 3 rows = 1.1/1.3 2 rows = 1.0 If it is 1.1 or 1.3 you are good to go and just stick a chip in it. If it is 1.0 you will need to convert it, which needs: 1.1 / 1.3 engine harness 1.1 / 1.3 ECU Front toothed crank wheel VR sensor injector harness rewire the oil level sensor (simple, it just has different plugs on the new harness) alternatively you could get a facelift sensor. and a few other things I might have forgotten. if your car is auto and has the transmission ECU it wont work and will be stuck in limp mode. Unless you figure out how to wire it up, I gave it ago at the time but didnt have the ECU pinout the for auto trans ECU. In the end we just converted it to manual

Some 86 325i came with motronic 1.0 (double row ECU plug) and there is no chips avaliable for them AFAIK. We converted my mates 325 with 1.0 to 1.3 and chipped it with a Jim Conforti chip, made a huge difference.

Ive driven my mums E36 328i a few times and dont really like it. Heaps of blind spots compared to a E30.

That list dosent say anything about a brake booster...

He drives it daily He is running 22psi AFAIK. -

He made 475WHP, so its a bit over 500 at the crank. He has a flash short runner intake manifold, thats about the only mod to the engine really. He also has ARP head studs with a standard head gasket, the engine hasnt been rebuilt. -
The unsung hero.... the mighty log

There were some simulations done on the DA manifold, although not 100% accurate, it does show it is a pretty bad design. Not that you need a simulation to work that out, you can tell by just looking at it.
