12-15k to replace vanos with brand new which is pointless not only because you will still end up with a dodgy vanos but because you can buy kits and install for $1500 which will last longer than a brand new one.

Tm believe there is 6k of work to bring it up to spec (for its age, not of a new car) pm me your email and I will forward on inspection sheet. Basically the vanos is stuffed and therefore lacking power, head gasket gone, sump gasjet gone, power steering hoses all leaking and a few other things which would need more investigation. I have viewed and driven it on behalf. Tell your mate to call me 021620633

Hey guys, my mate has been speaking with this guy and they came to a deal which was subject to inspection at TMBMW. That was completed...... Put it this way, it's still for sale!

Hi Ray, thank you. I was going to book it in with you, however i ran out of time to pick up M3 and so had to get it fixed today so that I could take car with me tomorrow.... Ended up paying top dollar at BM Workshop, however it was better than going to BMW. I still want to get you to sort hesitation, I'll touch base soon.

Has anyone had their abs control module fail? Apparently its quite common? My ASC and ABS lights are on and I seem to be getting intermittent connection with the control module which is why I am pretty sure its not speed sensors. Has anyone replaced theirs whether it be DIY or through a shop? How much and whats involved? Cheers, Richard.

Haha really!? I thought he had pulled it off the market? Awesome to hear you have purchased it! Would be great to catch up. I looked at that before I purchased mine. I understand he did a lot of work on it? I would be keen to see it and go for a ride to see what diff the Vanos overhaul has done. I have a Dec 94, 3.0, NZ new in blue. Drop me a txt on 021 620 633 and we can catch up. I am based in St Helliers. Cheers, Richard.

Awesome to hear! -
All good! For 200k I thought they looked pretty good too. Very soft wire brush (brass) and small amount of brake clean! - See pic of it after clean up. I also cleaned out the intake box, air filter and MAF sensor at the same time. Those things combined took a few hours and did make a slight difference! Either way, very satisfying and good maintenance.

Cleaning the m3 plugs this arvo and was curious how you would read mine? Lean, rich? Ok? They all were much the same abd cleaned up really well. But I noticed the gap was sitting at .6 when it should be .8. How much of a major is this? I tried re-gaping but the nodes were to soft.

Ok cool, are you around this am? Can I swing past and pick up?
-
Ah ok, I drive past there everyday on my way to work. Look forward to seeing how it all comes together.
