    325i Intake Pipe

so it was a crack in the intake pipe then?
  4. I suggest you go and reread your original post . When you have put wheels on and lowered in excess of 200 BMW's I will bow to your "superior knowledge". 17x8 at 40ET - the offset is "waaaaaay too high" (hope I have enough A's in there) INCORRECT!! the standard e36 offset is around +/-41 If you are after dish you need a 5/7 series wheel - INCORRECT - again!! There are plenty of wheels out there with huge dish at the correct offset. Maybe not in the BBS style that he is looking at. Did you also consider that the wheels you have shown pics of may have had custom made lips with the correct offset centre? Suggesting running 5 or 7 series offset wheels on a 3 series is bad advice - PERIOD! I really don't have the time or inclination to tell you about the effect that the incorrect offset wheels can actually have on your hub harriers, suspension points etc. FACT- running low offset wheels and then spacers will push the wheels further out! I am not sure where I said it was illegal to roll guards? I am and always have been of the opinion that you correct wheels to fit your car, and I make no apologies for that. You shouldn't be buying wheels and then trying to make them fit, its kind of like closing the barn door after the horse has bolted. IF you can prove to me (rather than just show a pic) that that wheel is the offset you say it is I will gladly withdraw my comments. A picture doesn't prove anything unless you have the evidence to back it up. BTW: I agree they look sh#t hot!! on the car and.......... you didn't really help nastnas - he asked where he could get some from, or if they came up very often , Hiteks post was probably the most heplful so far. How about we just try and help the man out? Rather than waste time bickering back and forth between us. chill out and have a happy evening.
  5. haha - I am sick of constantly seeing bad advice given out on this forum............. and this morning i just snapped!
  6. MUPPET!! probably the worst piece of advice so far this year. the 5, 7 series offset is already lower so you will not need to run spacers as this will give you an even lower offset and make the wheel stick out further. A 17x8 at 15 et will mean the rear guards need to be pumped out at leat 20mm - good luck! recommending stretched tyres - dumb! When you run a 5 series offset on a 3 series you wil also find the wheel track is increased and so the car tends to bumpsteer and track quite badly! Save yourself a whole lot of time, effort and money and get the correct offset wheels!

    BBS RC

Hope you have a really big hammer. It will also make the track like a Ba$t@rd. Cars have specific offsets for a reason. Good luck to you - some of you guys can't be advised
  13. It is more to do with the US$ than anything else. The US$ was around 59c and has dropped now to around 53c - a drop of over 5%. I agree however that the petrol companies are always quick to put the price up but slow to drop it. This has been discussed time and time again here on tyhis forum.

blacklist him - go on.................. DO IT!
  15. there are definitely some deals to be had out there as (like us) a lot of tyre shops bought stock before the price rise. However the deals won't last so if anybody needs tyres out there I would be lookinga t replacing sooner than later.
  16. $220 each is very cheap if it includes fitting and balancing. Dunlop put up their prices as of January 1st and I would say the guys at Tony's got them in stock before the price rise. I hate to say it but I would snap them up at the price if it is Direzza's you want. I can price up some alternatives if you like.
  17. There are quite a few guys on here using Nexen as well. If you search the forum you will find a few topics. I would rate them up with the Toyo PX4's. We import them directly so can offer you a very sharp deal. We also have all the other major brands, let me k now if you would like us to quote some prices for you. cheers Johno
  18. I will come back to you with some options tomorrow cheers Johno
  19. I will price up some options for you tomorrow and let you know
  20. might help if you give a few more details like km's etc. Also some other pics incl interior would be good.
  21. don't worry about a slip on spacer, run a 265/30/19 or 275/30/19, it will fill the guards out nicely.
  22. Definitely NOT genuine wheels. IIRC E46 M3 came out on 18's factory and as Nick said staggered fit and different offsets.

    e30 project

Autolign and BNT are the same company. I think Autolign are usually are bit cheaper though as they tend to specilaise in suspension parts.
  24. IMHO the quickest way to go is down SH1 to Ohinewai turnoff, then follow that through to Morrinsville, then Matamata, then Tauranga. There is heaps less traffic, and you miss the big queue's on SH27, plus the advantage of pretty good driviing road between SH1 and Ohinewai.
