sounds like a good upgrade, you will have to let me know how much it helps. Take it up to the grass and gravel tracks next to harcourt weiry drive (next to the river in lower hutt) and do some skids on the gravel and grass you will soon get an idea of where your bias valve needs to be set.

Hey guys, just thought you might want to see what has replaced my e46. It was a diamond schwartz south african 325i when i picked it up. It was full of dents, scratches scrapes.. the motor and trans are in good nick though. So i gave it a little spit polish, threw a kit at it. got some wheels on the way and got some springs to go in it when i get a chance, These are useless pics, will put up some better ones when i get hold of the camera again. but it gives you an idea. Have also got a plate on the way for it, going to to the red tail lights thing, just got it tinted and have got some smoked indicators for it. Will post up more pics as i do more stuff..

think of it this way. Your going to loose alot more by selling it than by keeping it. Scenario1. Put it in the garage, theres no rush to get it done... just take your time and play with it when you want, spend a little more munny get it running, get through the teething problems and you will have a really nice car that is reliable. When someone asks you what you have done with all your time and money from the last few years you can show them. If you dont want to loose your liscence dont drive it everyday, take it out on a nice sunny sunday every now and then. You dont have to make it a daily driver to appreciate the work you have done. Scenario 2. Get annoyed that its not finished yet, sell it, loose $$$$$$$$$$ and all the time you have put into it. 6 months later kick yourself a few times because you wish you hadn't sold it. Mabey get another project which means lots more money and your back at square one with it, and believe me you will get peed of with this one too and want to sell it. And then once you have sold it what do you have to show for everything youve done? You cant say that you finished it and got bored because you never finished it.. you cant take them to the garage and show them all your work because you sold it. you cant say that you sold it because you where putting your money into something like house because your not your considering another project. So all you will have is a few pictures and memorys. (personaly i wouldnt like to spend hundereds of hours and thousands of dollars to have a few pictures.) Anyway i could go on with that for hours but you get my drift. if you sell it you will have nothing. if you keep it you will have something to show for your efforts. TRUST ME, I have been through exactly the same thing when i lost my liscence

Hey guys, i have a question..... I know that a 325i e30 auto trans will bolt up to an m50 in a e36. My question is, is the rest of it the same? ie loom? plugs for loom? driveshaft coupling and torque converter? Help appreciated Cheers Oli

if you went to a garage you would probably pay around $45 or 30 min labour. Easy to do yourself if you like to play with cars, jack up rear of vehicle with the wheels just on the ground, unbolt both bottom shock bolts, jack the car up some more. put your foot on top of the wheel and push it down while you pull the spring out and replace them, lower car down until the shock lines up with the hole and bolt it back up.

battery is brand new as old one was poked. Checked the window switch ilumination yesterday, also checked the looms into the doors, central locking, no bulbs are lit up when turned off. Checked current draw again this evening and it was up at around 0.9a No amps installed and it did it before i put head unit in. Noticed my idle control valve was wiiring all the time, even when switched off and key removed. i unplugged the icv and the draw dropped to 0.6a

i liked the wave camo. well..... i wouldnt put in on my car but as far as camo goes i think you did a good job with it. IMO i think it would look better with a red bonnet, but thats just me.

Hey guys. I have a e30 325i south af. It has a current draw from somewhere. It will drain a battery in 2 days. When the vehicle is off doors shut everything turned off ect.ect. i am getting a 0.1a current draw. I pull each fuse one by one and it doesnt change for any of the fuses. Disconnected power to the altinator, also no change. Anyone have any ideas? where to look? previouse experiences? Cheers Oli

no real difference, Nothing noticable anyway. as long as the joins didnt interupt the flow too much it would be ok. the key to a performance exhaust is having the right amount of flow and backpressure. this can vary depending on motor cc motor mods and where you want your power to be. different size piping and different types of muffers can alter the flow and backpressure. I have a factory manifold running 2 2" pipes with 2 cobys in each pipe, goes well and gives me alot of top end power as the flow is high due to the straight through cobys. but being only 2" for each set of 3 cyl there is adequate back pressure, also the small pipe diameter causes the exhaust gases to flow rather fast which helps with the scavaging efect.

my flatmates car, i put it on my trademe account. about the only part of that car that is any older than 7 years is the bare shell, EVERYTHING has been replaced or rebuilt. it is seriously quick too. i guess its worth what someone is willing to pay.
