run the car on your drive or something for 20 to 30 min or so. go have a cuppa while you wait. with some clean plastic underneath. then check for any water on it. also check your oil. undo sump plug just enough to let a few drips out. see if its water or oil or both that drip out. do you know if the garage machined and tested your cylinder head when they replaced the gasket?

possible. check connections and clean if they look dirty. also check sparkplugs ht leads and timing. surging is usualy caused by incorect or incomplete combustion im pretty sure. so check all things like ignition. air intake and maby clean fuel system. sound like just needs a good tune.

hey sorry i cant get a pic atm maby not quite 3inch but when it had a full tank of gas 200kg of baggage in the boot and someone in the back it just got down to level with the guard. the rear springs arnt captive when jacked up and the exhaust catches speedbumps now and then but there is still a decent gap in the arch which i realy dont want.

hmmm ok. so still no external leaks? is the car putting out abit of white smoke?

got superlows in my e30 320i and its on 17s but it still has a gap of about 3 inches between the guard and the tyres front and back. how do you sit it a little lower without chopping my springs?

hey guys. was wondering if anyone has ever fitted adjustable coilovers in the rear of a e30. anyone got any tips like what coilovers to use and how to mount etc??

diff in my 85 320i is a 3.6 to one i think. cant fully remember. it acts like a normal diff in terms of turning the shafts different ways and stuff but i have never seen it spin one wheel. even round a corner when i dab the clutch slightly it still spins 2. lsd or not?

i know this is a long shot but depending how loud the claking is it could be a extremely worn bigend bearing causing the piston to slap the head

if i wer you i would leave your standard motor in it and try and turbo it or something. turbo + intake+ lumpy cam= a sh*t load of power. not sure how much it would cost you though. also try dropping the diff ratio. cheap and u notice the acceleration

the amount of work you will have to do is isanly huge. im doing a conversion from 2.0l to 2.5l of same engine type and that conversion is taking me ages and costing me heaps too. your best bet is to sell the motor and block and buy a new moter that will work.

hey have seen a adjustable fuel pressure regulator for sale for about 150ish. wondering if it will do much? what would happen if i just took out the regulator and return line? im gessing serious overfueling? would this improve performance or jus sh*t everything up?

sooo. i got some parts a few days ago for my conversion from pfl to facelift for me e30 325i. looked at the throttle body and got lost. ok so iv worked out there are 2 pipes conected to air filter pipe for the brake booster. 2 for the coolant hoses and one next to them for the breather pipe. now.... there is another fitting after the butterfly and one in the air filter pipe that goes into a black canister type thing with a plug in the bottom for the loom. does anyone know where these 2 pipes go?

hey guys. just wondering if a 1985 320i exhaust manifold will bolt onto a 1987 325i block? i doubt they will as they probably have bigger ports. but i could be wrong

is there much restriction in the stock box if i modified it for a cone?
