having never done this i wouldnt know. just make sure you line the clucth up perfectly center and the flywheel or the end of the crank should have a locator so you put the flywheel on the right position. it should be just a bolt and unbolt situation. nothing realy too complicated. and make sure you have oil in ur new box. as silly as it sounds

found the problem its dumping wayyyy to much fuel in there. i noticed there are 2 wires coming off the fuel pump pos terminal. can anyone tell me where they go? anyone good with electronics on these things? i dont think the pressure regulator is faulty as fuel is returning back to tank. i think possibly the injectors are stuck open? anyone know anything about this? its a facelift engine running motronic 1.3 btw

yes and yes. is it possible for the cam timing to be 360 degrees out? i am real tired and cannot think at the moment. but im just trying to think. i have all the timing marks lined up but could the cam be rocking on no.1 and not firing on number one? i cant think if that would be 180 degrees out or 360 anyone?

i heard if you run an automatic ecu in a e30 you will get about 5 more horse than a manual one? is this true?

bat pos terminal (the big one) to chasis= 12.4v (top blade connector wire) to chasis = 0v (bottom blade conector wire) to chasis= 0v. can someone tell me what these blade conections on the solonoid are?
-
well i have no dash. i stripped out the entire inside loom and put it all back in. there is battery voltage but no voltage through either of the signal wires. well im asuming one is the signal wire. there is one that connects to the top of the solonoid and one at the bottom. i jumped a wire from bat pos to the top conection on the solonoid and nothing. any ideas anyone?

finaly!!!!! the engine conversion is finished. turned the key and nothing. didnt even turn over. i have 12.6v to the starter wich is a godsend so i know the problems at the starter. i have a pfl starter but wired into a facelift loom there is an extra wire. a small black one. im guessing a signal wire of some kind so there is 2 fat wires. bat pos and negative im guessing. and 2 thin wires. ones the ignition wire. whats the other one? and where do i need them to be connected to? any help and or pics will be fantastic. o and the fuel pump isnt working but thats another problem i will probly just make a seperate circuite connected to acc for the fuel pump. i dont see why that wont work? cheers oli ps. its a e30 with a m20b25 in it

i will be getting a link at some point in the future. so what kind of power do you think ill be putting down on the road?
-
sounds like they didnt put enough fluid in the box. the torqe converter wont be getting much oil hence the loss of power and the thumping into gears. thats just my theory

wel i got new everything internaly. 304 cam with 11.8mm lift. new pistons. comp ratio is around 10.1 320 flywheel and i am going to put a 3.5 intake on. with adjustable fuel pressure regulator equal length headers and full exhaust. cold air intake. i jus figured it would be around the 250 mark. and the car is stripped to a bare shell.

this time next year there will be. its generaly because there too expensive to get to the same kind of specs as all this jap crap. ive got the m20b25 motor in my e tirty and im going to be making around 250 horse at the wheels. without any kind of computer chip or forced induction or moded fueling. not to bad if i say so myself. that should be enough to get her sideways.

dont quote me on this but if your dif was slipping you would hear a real bad grinding or clunking noise? sure its not your clutch?

hey im looking for a f.l fusebox complete with car loom and connections for an e30 320 or 325. Is anyone selling one or know the best place to get one? Cheers.

you can regrind the cam at a place called calford cams in chch. not sure how much. however they dont advise that you do it because of the hardend surface on the cam and it could cause the cam to fail. if i were you i would just buy a new one or get one made from a new billet. i got a 304 degree cam with double the lift of the standard one from the states and worked out to be not much more expensive than regrinding one

what car???? if its a e30 you just gotta pull it around and try push it towards the front of the car. its a b****y little thing
-
well on the motronic v1.1 im asuming ur cars a manual. i dont know about the autos but the crank positioning sensor is on the flywheel and the is a peice on the loom that sits in your bellhousing. you can tell what version it is by looking at the crank pully smooth =1.1 toothed =1.3 if your not to keen on changing your gearbox you could get another loom ecu and get a toothed pully. its quite simple. also you will have to change the connenctions to your fusebox and that should just about cover it.
-
i am currently doing that myself. all you need to do is change the front cambelt cover. maby cam sprocket. is it motronic 1.1 or 1.3? 1.3 has a toothed crank pully. if its a 1.1 with a smooth pully you will have to change gearbox a few conection on the loom need adapting but its not 2 hard
