my front left indicator used to play up, sometimes work and sometimes not work... for me it was a loose wire not making contact all the time, easily fixed in my case.... so maybe a loose connection somewhere???
-
just throwing in suggestions... piston rings??? u blew a gasket maybe???

yea i spent a fair few hours doing all the prep work as well, getting that new panel ready for welding and sorting out the rear before paint, its amazing jusT how many spotwelds are in a simple rear panel hehe
-
ftw for sure lol! cheers! yea.. too bad that I only have third party, the pillar was insured lol although it left no damage what so ever... ah well...
-
I thought that I might post up the latest development on the e30... about a month ago my car may have been backed into a pillar in an underground car park... but thats besides the point, I went and got a quote from a panel beater, he quoted me $1300 repair/paint, and that was WITHOUT new bumper and new light, I nearly had a heart attack, So I took it into my own hands and went looking for way cheaper alternatives... So... instead of repairing the panel I went and bought a new one off Ray at hell bm for $20, plus new bootlid for $50, and new light and bumper also from ray, but I cant remember price, I had the new panel welded on, for $200 at Glen eden panel beaters, and then took it to dracovich panel beaters (where I got the original quote) for paint only because ive found them very good with paint, which cost $400... so, from $1300+ down to just over $650 I thought that wasnt too bad, anyways I thought id post it up incase it interested anyone, the silverlining of the whole thing was that the rear needed painting anyway as it was fading alot, so .. fixed e30 = me happy edit : somewhere along the line my 320i downgraded to 318i lol, as my old badge broke on removal haha.

Hello all, curiously on the way to taupo my heater/fan stopped working, and possibly may even have got stuck on the "1" setting, along with the temperature stuck on "hot" or red. This is all well and good as it was freezing in ohakune and heater was good to have on, but its starting to piss me off, is the heater fused???? any idea what could be done to fix it? as the temperature no longer adjusts and the heater doesent turn on/off , what could it be??? its not super serious just annoying, It is an AC heater, but the AC belt is currently not connected so no AC, 1988 SA e30 P/fl Any ideas?

everything dying is strange imo lol, there is a possibility of the fan not working tho, as there is a LACK of noise there lol.
-
be careful with 30a fuse, also double check your amp now, my old amp went bang (quietly) and it did the same sort of thing, when it happend my amp completeley melted its terminals together, externally and internally the board inside was totally stuffed, sounds like a dodgey wire touching metal and shorting everything out but i dont think anything would burn through metal so I wouldnt worry too much about that, check everything ! then check it again...

I thought this would be interesting, what does your partner drive??? Post up some pics of his/her rides and some comments!! Ill kick it off... Kate, the missus, drives a... 1994 Toyota Corolla FX-GT 1.6L 20-Valve Silver top 4A-GE Couple mods, Pod filter Aftermarket headers. (better than factory ones and were there when she bought it) 16inch mags with low profile tyres, Jamex lowering springs, and a momo steering wheel hehe, This thing is nuts!!! it goes way to fast... way faster than my e30 which is sad hahaha, but its a neat little car in my opinion... So... what else are everyones partners driving???

i have determined its an hdd issue coupled with a powersupply problem, I havent deleted the partition BECAUSE all the drivers are located on there, I give the ovther partition a clean formatt and install from there, it only works relative to these laptops that make u create recovery discs on startup other wise i'd wipe everything and just download drivers but thats always a mission to get the exact ones.

Hey, drackovich panel beaters on west coast road in glen eden are great for paint, I got my e30 bonnet done for $200, they did all the prep work, I just dropped it off, Also i would recommend the full respray not because of price but because of the paint difference, MY opinion (and thats all it is.. an oppinion) is that newly sprayed stuff never looks the same as the old paint because of the age difference in paint... but im sure it would'nt cost $4k to repsray a whole car, I had my whole rear end re done (very good) for $500 from these same guys, (bootlid rear panel bumper + blends)

Hey guys, I do the computer stuff at work and I had to try and fix on of the laptops someone had for a while, windows kept crashing etc etc slow all sortsa stuff, bascically all it needed was a format, and a windows re-install, before it got to me it went to a shop, and they didnt format, they just installed a fresh copy of windows over the old, so it was still having all the old problems, I ended up using partition magic to give it a format, which it did, it formatted both partitions of the drive, one being 20gb, and the other 40 (or something thereabouts) they did their thing, but had an error partway through running the batch (on restart) and something happend, now when I boot up, it gives a crazy symbol, something like AEZ=2 AEZ=2 or something like that, and instead of the Z its a funny looking symbol, resembling a z, When I then put in the recovery disc, (which uses a special partition on the hdd which i did NOT formatt) it starts doing its thing, but partway through, the laptop shuts off, randomly, all led's go off, including power, battery, then I press on button, and it powers back on and repeats the process.... so.. wtf???? Laptop: Acer Inspire 5100, OS (Before format) Windows Vista Home Premium, It feels like a hardware problem... but It didnt happen until it formatted, I also tried using XP and using the functions on the disc to either format properly or install XP and recover from there, but the laptop did the exact same thing... Any ideas??? Cheers, Alex.

if you have an amp the remote cable could have come loose and may not be turning it off?

I think this is a great idea, my work has agreed to put in 2% if I put in 2% aswell, ontop of that im recieving a 4% payrise regardless as an incentive to start this scheme, I worked it out VERY roughly, and by the time I turn 65 i should have put away about 600,000+ but thats NOT taking into account that I will most likely increase to 8% in the later years, as good as it all sounds, and I think its great, just like everything in life is a risk this aint any different, im gonna do it, simply because ive been given a good offer and would like to be settled for life, thats just my 2cents.

ive drilled holes in my firewall for such a thing and theres no legal problems whatsoever, ie with wofs and such, drill it and seal it with silicon, should be no problems.
-
lol at the old man yelling at you, thats crack up i've been run over by an old guy in his scooter, well.. it wasnt exactly run over but it sure as hell hurt! im sure a few people have corrected the "chain driven" bit on his auction.
