Just a thought, get a spanner on the crank and make sure the motor turns over by hand, sounds silly i know but just try it.

No fine or court costs when getting diversion. You get charged with careless driving if your car leaves the road or hitting another car etc etc, if you crash because you were dodging a dog or the like then you get charged with careless driving. Just the way it is.

1st conviction? Diversion. Couple hundred to a charity or something along those lines.

1st one....1 year, 2nd one....1 and a half years, 3rd one....2 years, 4th and 5th i'm still in ownership of, currently just over two years for the M3 and three months for the 530.

Fair enough, trans solanoid (just realised i was spelling it wrong) was not a recall, was fitted because of the lighting of the sport and snow light and very harsh changing. Easy to check this out though.

Disclaimer: These shocks must be fitted by a certified automotive technician, no warrenty will be considered if this is not done! I fitted BC coil overs to a mates legacy, (i'm a certified automotive technician), they're still going strong.

I assumed all E46s had this option, our 330ci cab does. Seems strange they didn't do all of them?

If you decide to go 307, check that when you move the gear lever into drive that the trans makes a buzzing noise, that means it's got the modified trans solanoid valves which you'll want.Was the 207 ruled out?
