The "Y" muffler further down is usually a common one to cut out and replace with straight pipe. Instead of what you had done.

There's only one seal that goes on the S50 but i replaced all of them whilst it was out.

I removed and resealed my Vanos, four or five O rings i think? Pretty straight forward and easy but all Vanos systems are different.

By saying "sealed" they mean the fluid is lifetime and there is no need to go near it. The trans still has a fill bung and a drain bung, remove the trans pan to access the filter.

Cooling systems are made from recycled plastic unfortunetly so they aren't the best, expansion tanks crack, plastic fittings break etc. These bits don't usaully give a sign till it's too late. The car has a temp gauge so best it gets used, all the time! The trans usually gives up the ghost around 200k mark, this can be avoided with regular servicing of the transmossion, (oil and filter), if this is done the trans will be sweet. The moral is, yes get a mechanical warrenty, expensive but it more than likely may be used.

To some it may be a sleeper by looks but once started the noise will vibrate stomachs, will be louder than the SAV M. To people who haven't heard the SAv M....they're are f**king loud!!!

Naturally aspirated engines that produced more power than turbo charged motors were pretty special though, it's good bye to non FI M3 straight sixs, M5 V8s and V10s. But yes the V8TT in the SAV M is a neat motor, think this motor but 50BHP more for the M5.

Sad to see forced induction taking over M cars but that's the way forward i guess, 600BHP isn't anything to sneeze at though.

Never had probs with the M47, just the six's. I'm going by experiance.

Shift was challenging but beat it in the end, Shift two does look good but don't think i'll bother. Believe it or not i'm still enjoying GT5. As said in one of their quotes, GT5 is not a game, it's a driving simulator, i believe this to be true, some may disagree but that's fine, opinions are just that.
