Well it's been in the pipe line for about a month but as of the 6th of April i will be joining the team at Jeff Grey European as one of the Technicians. Was in there a while ago talking to the Service Adviser about my car and got offered an interview, it's been great working for HawkesBay Peugeot & Suzuki for the past five years but thought i was proberly due for a change. Will be my last day tomorrow so will have a fairly boring two weeks off. Time to clean the tools
-
Was in at Jeff Greys today so had a close up look, very tidy indeed.
-
Not a dumb BMW, just a dumb retard!
-
Ha think that's bad, look further down the page at the winner with all the tats down his arm.
-
Coming along very nicely Josh, looks great. Bet you're getting excited for this week.
-
^^^ Hahaha that my friend is funny, exactly what i was thinking to.
-
206 Not sure what the prob is?
-
Weird? Assume it's the same spec motor than a GTB? Edit: Just going on the things i've experienced with 306s but in saying that there were proberly Monday morn/Friday arvo ones.
-
Mitsis do that when the batteries are changed, they lose their idle memory, didn't think BMWs did that though. Haha Petes welds never cease to amaze me.
-
Pull the cover back off and and see what it was, if the noise was grinding you should see what it was.
-
Didn't make it not a gas guzzler, it never has been bad on fuel, it's manual so is naturally better than an auto. Oh and you would proberly spend more on a 306 than a Sub.
-
Never heard of a B18CR? Sounds quicker.
-
I'd go with the Sub any day, far better car IMO. Done a lot of work on a certain GTB, 184,000km and still going strong, it's by far NOT a gas guzzler also. Will be doing the cambelt very soon, seems fairly easy to do.
-
If i had time i would've pulled in and had a closer look but from where i was it looked pretty stunning, almost same colour as my 5er.
-
Hey John, saw the car earlier at M&E, looks really good, extreme amount of strecth on those wheels!
-
Amazing corner speed through that hairpin.
-
Then sent NZ as a low KM "like new" X5.
-
What's the car got to do with it?
-
Looks sick! (In a good way).
-
I set it up with help from a mate who was the former service manager of the local Merc agency, he has rebuilt many a LSD diff off SRT8s. When the car was going over the weekend it was fine other than that noise, no whines, knocks etc.
-
When i say fractured i mean a tiny chip at the very end of one tooth, i assume from the broken head of the carrier bolt. Hopefully it can be repaired. If not there will be a cheap M3 on TM.
-
That's correct, it has one seat in it and that's it, only half completed, just wanted to test drive to see if noise was resolved, didn't think it was rangi though? Ha however it did have an inch of dust on it, gave it a wax on mon night, sparkling clean now. Anyways, it seems i overlooked a fractured tooth on the crown wheel, to bits it comes again.
-
Well driveshafts fine, diffs on the bench at work, will open again today.
-
Will pull that out today and reinspect, i was on my back in the garage looking at it last time so will have a good look this time. There is a definite noise/knocking everynow and then in the casing itself, as there is no rubber join at the rear of the driveshaft it may be transfer but unsure yet.
