Ok, so the Holden thirty-eight hundred is a cheap, basic pretty easy to work on unit, but it's also a heavy, underpowered dinosaur. What the hell is wrong with some people... I'll bet its an absolute pig to drive, even if it has slightly easier to access torque than an M50 2.5/ M52 2.8 (the conversion I'd consider) Still... at least it isn't a rotary

I believe it was 3k with the all the wanky bits, with a list of price increases based on replacing said wanky bits with the original parts... ended up offering about 8k standard. I think Ollie offended him...

I thought degreaser, brake cleaner etc ate ashphalt? Seeing as its an oil product I've seen a couple handfulls of Drive washing powder clean up a big-ish spill when mixed with water

Just trying to clear up a wee argument here... Will the intake manifold from an M50B25 fit on an M52B28? Or will it need modification 2ndly, once the manifold is on there, what happens? I reckon the 2.8 will be have more power, where the other guy contends there will be a minute gain way up the top but all low end torque will vanish

the cover that screws over the top of the fuel senders might not be on quite right i lost about 3 tanks worth of gas because of this- it sloshes out when you go around a corner with a full-ish tank. took a wee while to figure out why the car was suddenly so much more hungry

Had the 325i up to an indicated 222 on the flat. It absolutely refused to climb any higher after about 2km at that speed

What size petrol reserves do NZ companies keep? Because the thought struck me that even though the price of each new batch of petrol the companies were importing was increasing, they were essentially selling old stock, bought at old prices, at an increased price. Is this ethical? Or standard business practice?
