  1. John Deere suits the BMW owner demographic quite well, you will get comprehensively screwed come servicing time ? the twin cylinder Kawasaki engined ones seem to be the ones to get, I got mine (not a Kawasaki engine type) as it was cheap, low hours and local

  2. You've got it, Kelvin- the studs are heavily corroded at the break and the other holes are out of round, indicating plenty of oportunity for someone to notice something before it happened. Jon, no sign of a vehicle or any debris... Or I'd have painted them a C&B on the windscreen

Nothing unless someone wants an e3 325 se then i might buy an e39 530 motorsport if there are any decent ones.

Have you seen @hqstu 530? it is in very decent condition and he has been quite unreasonable in how much he has poured into it. The level of care makes the km irrelevant in this case, I believe.

One satisfying (albeit eye-wateringly expensive) upgrade last weekend.

Thanks @str8_6 for the help! This was actually quite an involved process - first the airbag must come out in what is a very finicky process (after disconnecting the battery), then after removing a few screws the two pieces of plastic trim (controls and lower trim) can be removed. These two pieces are attached with more screws, so they too need to be unscrewed before doing all the steps in reverse to put the new trim in.

This bugged me every time I got in the car. Looks really nice now.

Don't start down that route... My replacement airbag means my dashboard now needs replacing as it looks too aged?

Can't quickly address all details, but some Councils do offer the kind of transparency you describe.

And individual accountability is covered but perhaps, again, only by some Councils.

For less co-operative councils, there are LGOIMA requests. And the public can attend any council meeting.

Excepting the meetings when they want to push through something controversial in a hurry... Those ones are closed.
