Those are very common in the states, their main purpose is to protect from stone chips but some people started using them for the look.

I am an Arab, I love mercs... I don't even have a choice in the matter. Having said that, I am 99.99% getting an E30 now. Once again, selling the M3 was heart wrenching but I had big upgrade plans. When I finally got what I was asking for and had the cash in hand, I grew up a little bit and decided to invest rather than continue spending every bloody penny I ever saved on cars. Imo, a 190 Cossy or nice M325 is the best value for money considering I want a daily car that I can blat on the track.

Nah I was just joking, I do think it's ALOT of car for the money though.

Absolutely not, car is mint. I spent over a year looking for M3's (as many of you already know) and this one was head and shoulders above any other I had seen. I spared no expenses on this car when I had it and I doubt this owner has had enough time to reverse my work, he barely drove it I would have never let her go unless I got exactly what I was asking for, I had big bad plans to upgrade to E30 / E46 / M5 at the time but then I woke up and decided to invest first before constantly spending every penny I earned on cars! As I mentioned in the other thread, I really really hope this comes back into the family as it's a very special car that has been immaculately maintained. Happy to give anyone further info if they are interested.

Oh crap! I just realized you are in Christchurch.. Guess I won't be the only one rolling with the ol Alpina shoes (when I eventually find that darn E30). Looks sweet mate, but I am bias considering I have them sitting in the garage.

Umm I have no idea if my eyes were playing tricks on me but when driving down to Otago yesterday I am almost certain I saw an red M1!?!?? Did not even know we had any in NZ. I almost broke my neck as I passed it.

Yep, I saw this coming actually. Last time I spoke to Shaun he was not driving it as much as he had wanted and seems like he can no longer justify having it sit in the garage like an ornament. He is describing it like a super car because it is, one lap around Ruapuna with 0 mods and you will instantly appreciate what BMW have achieved here. I will be keeping a close eye on where it goes and I am really, really hoping it joins the Bimmersport family once again as this M3 is one of a kind! If anyone is interested in further information about this car I would be more than happy to tell you what I know.
