    e34 pedal box

Cheers Brent. I imagine 520 and 525 pedal boxes are readily available?
  2. I've read mixed opinions on this. Some say the engine still runs fine, but the dash shows trans prog error (and if auto would lock it into 3rd or 4th). Are you certain it won't run properly? Others say a manual ECU is required and the engine doesn't run properly (I guess it adjusts mixture to a safe level?). I'm interested to hear how you get on. Ian.
  3. Is the e34 pedal box for manual's the same for all models?
  4. "The fuel consumption isnt bad at allgives between 7-8 kms per litre and is absolutely brilliant on the highwayhas all the specs of a seven series and more" I dont believe that in the slightest, haha. From the auction Jordy linked.
  5. Lol at Kerry's question.

    Want to borrow!

Yeah, I will admit I broke one, but it turns out my 'method' was wrong. I was winding and winding in the hopes it would pop off. Supposedly meant to wind it so pressure is on it. Then smack with a hammer (this method proved successful).

    semi slicks

Which car are these going on? E30 I'm guessing? *edit* or did I mix you up with another member who has e34, e32 and e30?
  13. Is that price for both or each? Thanks for the info/advice.
  14. Awesome Mike. Do you have part numbers for the rear mufflers etc? I like.
  15. Cheers. I think it looks really good colour coding it like that on your car.
  16. Yeah, Dean is the man. Where I will be going too. Heard he had a 900hp beast now? I went there with my previous cars too. Any pictures of rear tip Mike? Cheers, Ian.
  17. What is shadow line?
  18. Do you have any pics of the muffler? I'm looking into doing my exhaust over next few weeks. This sounds awesome. Also - LOL - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzbI4obmI0A...re=channel_page
  19. Looking good! Thanks for the info on gearbox stuff . Let me know how you go with exhaust. Something on my to-do-list as well. Ian.
  20. Ok...so after my indecision as to what I want to buy and the fact that there isn't a lot else out there which even comes close to the performance/amount of car for the money.... f**k IT. Manual conversion/shocks/springs/fix up all the little bits and pieces is now on the cards. Thanks for the kind words of support etc. Looks like i'm sticking to the BMW club
  21. Awesome stuff. Love it
  22. ^^^^ Gavin is definitely the man to talk to.
  23. Bad luck Atta. Nah I didn't buy it Dan. Just viewed the other Cossie. Hmmmm. Interior is much better than other one. Cracks in dash. Leather etc in good knick. Guy had rear door cards off as they were sun damaged and peeling at the top. He is going to put these back on. Sunroof trim also removed as a clip broke, he is also going to put this back on. Rear windows didn't work. His mechanic said this was due to lack of use. Crack in instrument cluster (he said he has a spare but hasnt had time to replace.) Engine seemed solid. Of course me not being a mechanic can't confirm this, but my mate who knows a bit said the same. He has receipts for rebuild work though, which was 8yrs/30,000km ago. SLS has been removed. Uprated shocks and springs all round. Some pretty flash 17's. New front tyres. Body kit is a little sun faded, as is wiper arm. Stone chips on front. Clear indicators installed. Exhaust leaking. Rego has just been put on hold as he doesnt drive much anymore. He said he'd sort this for new owner. Paint on rear spoiler fading. My mates said clearcoat on boot and roof starting to come off (small part they said). Turns out the car was automatic and converted to 5speed dogleg. The throw was short (he put a different knob on it) and to get into reverse you had to push knob down (towards floor of car) and then into gear. No crunches and seemed good. No hesitation all the way to 7k rpm. I'm not sure if one of these cars is really what I want...so dont know if I want to proceed........ Any questions - fire away. Ian.
