Nick, are the part numbers on the rubber cover where the mirror mounts to the car? There's also a BMW logo there? I had similar mirrors on my car that I got from Brent, he told me they weren't genuine and I too couldn't find matching part numbers on realoem.com. I wasn't overly concerned though as they had the plug n play connectors and fit perfectly.

In for the diff too! Looks like it may turn into a WWE Royal Rumble! Still after a few bits and pieces Gaz, I'll PM you when I find a spare few hours on the weekend.

Wanna go for a burn?

Sorry, not a fan... far too OTT.

Post now. NOW!! You haven't posted yet.... c'mon c'mon c'mon!

That front bumper is gross.

^^Not houndstooth... tartan This = houndstooth: Still... they are great seats. Good job on cleaning the interior, I've had to clean an interior covered in dog hair and dog spit before, took forever and the smell never did come out properly.

The E36 M3 knob fits E30's.... same as mine. I don't think they're too horrendously priced at the dealer.
-
Isn't the spoiler currently on the car a Tech I? Looks exactly the same as mine, except your is colour-coded.
-
Nice car... I love the Style 32's, possibly my favourite BMW wheel. You're going soft on us now though, you won't ever want to drive the E30 now you've experienced the comfort of a 5'er! Allan there is DIY to change this if you want. I have it in an issue of Total BMW somewhere, they did it on their E39 project car. It's probably floating around on the net somewhere too.

Plenty of jappa E36's about... parts are everywhere.

Chch BS will soon have the following kitted E30's: Tech I Tech II iS p/fl ACS BBS Just need fl ACS, Racing Dynamics (??), Alpina and we have the whole set!!

Most photo sites leave your photos at original size. You can download photos again, but I don't know if you can bulk download. There are programs out there that let you do such a thing though. I use Photobucket, no problems with resizing etc.

I totally just signed up for AAPlus, $45 extra a year, but they give you a rental car etc if you breakdown miles away from home. Awesome.

Thought I'd put the 'M' badge I pulled off the car to good use:

Antony: Yeah, that was my car.... would've been parked outside DCH Motorsport who were fixing it. Sucks to hear about your car though. Had a similar thing happen to me when the fuel pump in my E36 carked it in Hokitika. Had to drive a rental car back to Chch and drive back over a week later to pick the car up! Mark247: Free tows are awesome.... love the AA, it has saved my arse on many ocassions. Should be compulsory to get a membership with any BMW purchase.
-
Yes, Glenn... but then it's a girl with balls and that's even scarier.
-
I vote fuel pump. Same thing happened to me when I had my E36.
-
Do it. If the engine is solid and the body is rust free then $9k is a good price.. Worked out how much mine has cost me so far and I'm pushing $11k, and it's no Tech II. Go on, do it and give those Alpina's a home!
-
Is this the one in Dunners Atta? Looks purty! If it's had the works done to it I wouldn't scoff at paying a bit more. Especially if the major stuff like engine work has been taken care of. Ask me how I know.
-
OMG! Are you serious??!!!! HAhahahAhahahh! That can't be the car my workmate was talking about... if it is I'll give him hell!

Well, I got the car back, then the next thing you know it's leaking a nice amount of 95 octane all over the driveway. So... back on another tow truck and this time fuel was leaking out the top of the sender to the fuel gauge. Weird. I guess it's a case of if you replace one thing, the next thing in the chain can't handle it and breaks as well! Car is back now and apart from a minor mishap with the mechanics not screwing my fuel cap on properly and it pissing fuel all over central Christchurch (!!!) - it seems to be going well (fingers crossed, knock on wood etc).
