FWIW I sold my Jap import, auto, leather, 4 door 325i in November for $8250. Paid $10k for it in 2007 and probably spent close to $4k on it in maintenance and mods. Wow, that looks awful when I type it out like that, but I sold at the height of petrol prices and I wanted a quick sale. I'm looking at a manual 325i coupe with similar spec and K's ATM, hoping to pay $7500 for it so it's all relative I guess. P.S: If you want to sell (Like really want to sell, not just pay $40 to have it sit on TM for 6 months before you withdraw the auction) list your car at what you ideally want for it, and reduce the price by $500 every week until you start getting bites.

What a disgusting car. It looks like an automobile version of a 'roided-up bodybuilder. I think I'll stick to watching Wheeler Dealers!
-
Wow, looks like it needs just a small amount of work! Welcome to the site... look forward to seeing it return to a driveable state.

Is this Season 12 or 11 that they're now airing? If it's Season 12 it's pretty damn good. Especially the Lorry Challenge episode with the infamous "change gear, change gear, murder a prostitute, change gear" line!

Schnitzer's FTW hands down. They look mint mate, good purchase!

Euro 2000 car parts in Auckland sell all the bumpers you listed for less than $600. And I bought an E36 M3 replica bumper off Trademe for $450 delivered.

E36 M3 - Trademe Can someone lend me 5 grand? Damnit!

The other one is in Chch, owned by the president of the Chch Chapter of the BMW car club. It's a black one... beautiful car.

Aaaarghhh that poor M3! That's why if you're gonna cheat, always make sure you're positive you'll get away with it. (Even though I'm at work I still checked to see if my girlfriend was behind me before I typed that)

I'm not suggesting the Police ignore the problem. Merely the media. It's clear that the increased media coverage of boy-racer related incidents has inflated the egos of these morons and encouraged them to continue. By all means let the Police lay the smackdown in the meantime!

Atta, your comments about giving these idiots somewhere to be idiotic are valid. But, this has been tried in the past when the Pegasus Bay Drag Racing Club set up a burnout pad for boy racers to go and destroy tyres willy nilly. Unfortunately no one attended because, I believe, once a previously illegal activity is condoned it's no longer "cool". Perhaps turning a blind eye to these morons much like a mother ignores her child throwing a tantrum is the solution here? A ban on media coverage perhaps? It is illegal for the media to run stories on suicides in an attempt to stop copycats. Why not make it the same for boy racers?

The E28 had been in at Kevin Burt BMW and Mercedes for the best part of 4 weeks (!!!) and I just picked it up on Friday. One of the problems I asked them to fix was that the Left front brake caliper was seizing on the disc. Intitially they replaced the brake hoses thinking it could have been a blockage causing brake fluid to build up and force the caliper closed. This didn't fix the problem. They then "traced" the problem to a faulty ABS unit. This was replaced but to no avail. After driving the car for even short distances the brakes heat up and smell rancid. In fact now it is both front brakes that are acting up not just the left one as previously. Does anyone have any ideas as to what's going on? I don't want to keep throwing money at the car for no result. Cheers!

Shadowline that trim! Could the woolly steering be a failing steering box?

Do you wish to build the car up for racing? If so, you'll find it far cheaper to build up a nicely sorted 325i. Perhaps with a 2.7 conversion. With the right suspension and brakes it will be far quicker round a track as well. The E30 M3 is a classic race car, but there's nothing overly special about it that would warrant tearing one up for track use.

Here's the PDF version for those of us that live outside Auckland. e28_e30_e34_haynes_manual.pdf

Generally no. If you chop it in two you can get two uses out of it, but once it's full of dirt it's useless.

It is a joke. Please, always Google these sorts of emails before you post. It's pointless scaremongering. Life is Beautiful Virus Hoax

I heard it only worked on OBDI cars. Having said that I tried it on my OBDI E36 and it didn't work.
