It can be done: Here's the writeup. Hope you're handy with pulling apart gauge clusters and fiddly electronics! DIY Interior Lighting Conversion

I'll put a hundy on the fact he tried to look cool by drifting it round the corner in front of the pub.... over corrected and BAM! Dead Ferrari.
-
So the "Luke Howden of Taupo" written on the "invoice" a fake name I assume? What a bastard, I hope he gets what's coming to him.
-
Perhaps Glenn you should upload that PDF as a low quality Jpeg instead... you know just in case there are more unscrupulous idiots out there who will try and use that template to commit fraud on other unsuspecting BMW purchasers

The way our dollar is at the moment... things like the US Spec M3 cams etc would be bloody expensive to get hold of.
-
I've uploaded the E36 manual to the forums before... a quick search for E36 workshop manual should find it.
-
Auto or manual? Got any other pics? Where are you located? Oh, and price too please... Cheers!

I'm guessing he is, but you can never tell with this guy! To OP, +1 on seeing some pics of the exhaust. A previous owner has probably cheaped out on a muffler replacement and bought something aftermarket.

Not Always Right This site will make you feel better about your job.

FL panel is more curved and the holes are smaller to accommodate the trapezoidal shape of the new grilles.
-
There's a reason it's $1 reserve. The wheels.
-
If your grilles look like this then they're facelift ones.
-
Looking good! Get rid of some of that wheelarch gap with some suspension, slap on a motorsport front bumper and it'll look the biznisss!
-
I did this to my old E36... I love the new grilles over the old ones. Brand new facelift nosepanel is $200 from BMW. Grilles I got for $50 secondhand off Trademe. Paint was $100 as Glenn said.

You can't just post something like that and not tell us what you're up to!

Welcome to Bimmersport mate.... seller of your car was also a member on here. Good to see it's stayed in the BS family!
-
Very nice Nick, you're looking good... I mean, the car's looking good... the CAR!!! How much better is the night driving visibility with the new bulbs? Now you've just got to sort a heatshield for the pod filter, and do something about the curbing on the wheels!

If he's an honest bloke, and he see you're a serious buyer the dealer will drive the car to the nearest BMW dealership for you. You simply book the time. I'm not sure if BMW NZ can chat to BMW Japan with regards to service history etc, perhaps someone else can shed some light?
-
Hey mate, welcome to the site. The car you've linked to is an import which is why the dealer can't tell you if the big end bearing has been repaired. If it had been done it would have been done in Japan. It has also been sitting on Trademe for many many months now (maybe over a year actually). IIRC the dealer has taken down the interior pictures that used to be on the listing. They showed some wear on the seats and the drivers side seat was missing the rear cover. If you were to seriously consider buying this car I'd have it thoroughly checked out by a BMW dealer.

Nice car, had my eye on that on TM for a while. The colour is Avus Blau I think, but check the front strut towers for a sticker to double check.

I'm having problems in Chch. Last night I couldn't connect between 6:30 and 8pm. The download speeds are pretty shocking as well. Wouldn't go back to Telecom though, twice the price for the same crappy speed!
