  1. It would if the roof was down and the owner had no photography or editing skills.Cab isn't so bad when there's the e36 touring .
  2. The amount of digits showing how much I've spent wont fit on this page .
  3. Looks freakn hot Mark. Shotgun parking next to you at the next meet .
  4. Damn, looks like fun. Awesome pics, especially "WIN" lol. Knew I should have joined motosoc during orientation! You've made me extremely eager to get to the track now .
  5. Haha sure . I may or may not have destroyed a few rice tins tonight Thanks .
  6. It's legal if the police aren't looking, right? JK, I'd NEVER endanger other motorists. If you want a ride to the next meet and don't mind a sore face, let me know .
  7. So anyway, I got the car back today... It's so sad I have to wait at least 500km before I can put any load on the new clutch/fw/pp . I've already stalled it about 50 times because the slip range is about 0.1cm, feels like I'm learning how to drive a manual again . The new flywheel has made the idle sound grunty though . Videos of no traction and me losing my license to follow...
  8. Glad to see it has all come together, love your flywheel .
  9. It's not the worst advice...My vote is for e39 if you want something more subdued but still an animal. Prefer my crappy e39 over the M3 at the moment .
  10. I thought it was going to be much worse . Reasonable price though!
  11. Yeah it's pretty cheap, 1/3 of the price of a full replacement. I'll be taking a few vids that's for sure . There's one on the 28th isn't there? I probably wont be able to go as I wont have the new brakes and the clutch needs at least 500km stop-start use first . The one after that I'll be in with a grin!
  12. Just a wee update in case anyone cares... I was using the standard clutch in my car for a while, it survived great... For about 30 seconds. I put off getting a new clutch for a while as I knew it was going to cost a fair bit of money and mean no car for a month or so. But I finally bit the bullet and sent the standard clutch up to Auckland to the guys at Autoclutch. They rebuilt the standard clutch/pressure plate. There is now double the clamping force (1700lbs is now 3300lbs) and the clutch plate is brass lined (which is better than kevlar!) so it will certainly bite now . They also built a whole new flywheel, which weighs about 1/100th of the standard one. An A+ job from those guys! A few other clutch related parts are being replaced too. A wee tidbit of information: the E36 m3 clutch pedal is plastic, not metal (to save weight). Those M boys sure are clever . Next step: killer brakes.
  13. I mean, I have money saved but I'm 2-3k short .
  14. Damn, if only I had a spare 2-3k... It looks nice .
  15. I'm almost certain I saw this car about 2 months ago (judging by the plates) driving around by The Palms...
  16. That's what you're going to pay for a proper exhaust system designed for your car. I've got one and I love it, it sounds great and when my car was NA it had a slight power advantage. Plus it weighs about 1/5 as much as the stock system, and that's the key.
  17. Same thing happened to me, just line up the three prongs and give the mirror a good shove and it should clip back into the holder.
  18. The E30 is obviously going to win out on here . But I vote the e46 because it is an every day car which can set your pants on fire at any point in the day. Given that, you could buy an e30 m3, drive it for a few months to get it out of your system and lose next to no money selling it then get an e46 which would have fallen in price further.
  19. Would you like a picture of my setup for the catch can?
  20. Strange that it's doing that, I'll look into it later. Right click -> save as should work fine for now. The mime types are fine, I'll upload to youtube later...Edit: Added youtube version...
