  1. +1 edit: I think the car is a Evo 1-3
  2. It might end up auto-extending for another half hour as people keep bidding Nice car
  3. Bloody hell. Expensive stuff. I really really want them, there's a certain look I'm after Do your SE37Ks need spacers? That is, if you still want those illusive CE28Ns .. Drool.
  4. So these aren't able to be drilled, but spacers/hub adapters front and rear will make them fit? I see there is a guy on trademe that can make you any size you want, but at $420 a pair plus shipping, it's a bit rich for me at the moment. Wheels plus spacers plus tyres will be sitting on the wrong side of $1500 What size spacer/hub adapter would you recommend? JiB, I'm drooling over the SE37Ks you have for sale/swap at the moment
  5. Where is a good place to redrill wheels in the Waikato/Bay of Plenty area? I realise that the yellow pages will help, but if someone has had previous experience with a shop then that'd be good to hear. Or if these wheels aren't able to be redrilled, is there anything wrong with spacers that go from 4x100 to 4x114.3? Excuse my ignorance, I don't know too much about offset and all that jazz, so will these ever fit?? Cheers! Work rims
  6. Ha, I'm pretty sure I remember seeing this on Trademe a while back after it had been in a crash. No idea how big the damage was though
  7. Looking extremely tight. I wasn't really a fan of PFLs, but this is a definite exception I love the tasteful mods

    E30 clean up

Have you got a M20 speedo cluster? How much for a right front door? What colour is it in? How much for a pair of rear shocks? Or all 4? Cheers
  9. You never know, I might actually do that Brook, as I'm looking at another E30, but with more fruit (OBC, sunroof, motorsport seats, Tech 1 wheel). Starting work on it in 2 weeks: 1. Small rust removal 2. Paint roof, bonnet, and small sections including a hole in the door from a removal of some silly locking system + cut and polish 3. New spark plugs, change power steering fluid, brake fluid, and ATF (if I don't convert to manual) and just generally get it running mint. 4. Swap speedo to KMH unit Anyway, back to Economics study!
  10. This guy is an absolute legend. Check out youtube for other Clive James commentary.. Wish we had someone like him these days!
  11. Getting excited about working on your newly acquired E30 to the point you learn everything you can about it, instead of studying for an exam 2 days away. Oh, and Statistics. GRR!
  12. I love it. It was tastefully done, and the owner justified using an M5 as a base. I compare it to a cashed up guy using this as a base instead of the tried and true Supra or GS300.
  13. Aaahh yes I remember this car. I test drove it a while back, and it was my first taste of a M20B25 with manual. I thought it was awesome. Very very nice. I'll probably be frenching my fog lights at some point
  14. To each their own, but I feel some projective vomit coming up.
  15. I think they're awesome, given the right setting. A kitted S13 extremely low, wide MREs, stretched tyres and you've got a good combo. It's a bit of a marmite rim
  16. Yep, same one as on Trademe. But I paid considerably less than asking
  17. Have vagued checked, but I haven't got the space or tools to go delving into the depths of the car to find rust. When's this Hamilton E30 meet going on?
  18. Hey guys, just returned from Auckland pretty much. Bought this UK import e30 325i, black, leather, and with 150,000km. It's not mint, but nor could you expect it for the price I paid. This is gonna be a pretty cheap build, as I'm a poor uni student. Famous last words? Driving up was pretty fun, we had a couple of 'sparring' partners in V8 commodores that gave my little Honda a go. I'd like to think I held my own . When we got there, this guy had BMWs everywhere. Some of you may remember he had an E30 for sale with a Commodore 3.8 a while ago. He had another in the garage that was his current project. He was a really nice South African dude, and let me drive his V12 7 series. Man, how smooth are those. The car is mint mechanically, the engine runs very smoothly and powerfully. I can't wait to get a manual into it (sell you bloody Integra!). Of course, it has some problems: 1. The ABS light stays on. Hopefully it's an individual wheel sensor that does this, or a loose connection, and not something overly complication and/or expensive. What would be a methodical way to check this out? 2. The car goes flat if you leave it standing. Once again, hopefully it's just a bad ground or something. What would be the common points to check? 3. Scratches and faded paint on the roof. This isn't really a problem, and hopefully something I can tackle over summer. 4. Auto. This will be sorted out when the Integra sells or when I find a pot of gold. Anyway, here are some pics of it, with the other nugget parked behind it
  19. Wow, lots of information in here. Sticky perhaps? Turns out the car was a UK import
  20. Going up to Auckland tomorrow to check out a potential new car, and then probably attempting study for damn uni exams
  21. What are the differences between SA import E30 325is, and how would I go about checking if a model is a SA import? Cheers in advance
  22. Better quality V16 My alltime favourite sounding engine
  23. Thank God you removed the silver 'highlights' on the tail lights. Only a bit of silver to remove now so you're on your way! I admire the dedication though, good work
