$1 Reserving a bunch of stuff now too, http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listings.aspx?member=1539744
-
That is the reason you cut the tube above the hub - The lower strut / hub is cast, the strut tube is steel so can be welded. Almost all E30 coilovers are done like this.

Bump. Still some bits up on trademe, lots of little things. I'm gonna cut the shell up sometime this week if anyone needs some cuts? Body is straight, rust in places though. Seats are up for $1 reserve too.

Will get back to you on Fogs, holding these for someone at the mo

I am parting out a 325i SE. Tonnes of goodies, Business RDS OEM Headunit and Premium Audio, Skibag, Weaves, 13 button OBC, Crack-free dash I've got some goodies listed on Trademe, see below http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listings.aspx?member=1539744 If you are after anything let me know, few bits are gone or accounted for already.

I am on the lookout for either a 135i or 335i, 2-door M-Sport coupe. Must be 2010+ with an N55 and with the DCT gearbox. Also must have sunroof. Prefer white with Red interior, but somewhat open to anything. If anyone has or knows of anything other than what's on Trademe, let me know.
-
What are they worth these days? I have one I'll be selling soon.
-
I'm after one with the N55 and DCT. There are a couple that fit the criteria on TM but the prices are abit up there. Really want to see one up close in person too to make a proper decision.
-
Yeah I'm not too worried about room, just want to see what the rear is like for passengers, boot space, how quick they are and so forth. I'm keen on a 335i, but can't find one I want - but there is a 135i that is ticking almost all the boxes for me, so I'd like to have a look at one up close since it's in Auckland.
-
Does anyone in Wellington have a 135i? Wanting to have a look at one up close to see what the room is like inside and stuff, maybe even go for a ride in it (you drive).

Valid point Josh, this has been a weekend car for me but at time's I am too busy to even take it out and it sits there while I use and drive my other E30 325i as a daily that I don't mind leaving anywhere. The main driver for this is to get down to having one car again, Having a daily and a weekend car is difficult with space and i won't be living with a double garage forever. A 335i seems to be the best choice for something modern and easily play around with that has power. If i can figure a way to do both then i will, but let's see what happens

Hi All, I have finally decided that I am looking to put this on the market, with plans to go to an E92 335i I feel I can't really own two hefty cars (although I'd love to). It's a great car, Drives extremely well and has been very reliable. It is quick as you can imagine, Breaking traction very easy at WOT. I have taken this on long drives across the country and it is an awesome car to drive. It's an 1989 320i NZ New Touring. LVV Certified, WOF and Rego. All parts are near new and have been installed since 5000kms done since the swap. Drivetrain: Engine: 2003' S54b32, At approx 110,000kms. New OEM parts done within last 5000kms (Since and during swap) New coils, Spark plugs, Gaskets throughout, Waterpump, All coolant hoses, MAF, CCV and hose to airbox, O2 sensors. Fully rebuilt VANOS with Beisan kit, Beisan anti-rattle kit, Beisan Oil Disk, Upgraded Cam bolts I have a valve shim kit, may do the adjustment sometime soon otherwise available, plus I have all the valve cam timing tools. Gearbox: 6-Speed Getrag 420g from the E46 M3 Lightweight Aluminium flywheel, 14lbs Sachs clutch kit. Rogue short shift kit. Delrin bushed shifter linkage. Diff 3.73 LSD, Completely rebuilt by Kayne Barry Motorsport. 4x new clutches (~40% lock). Z3M coupe 3 core radiator, 16" thermo switch controlled fan. AFE Stage 2 air intake, custom Fiberglass airbox E30 S54 Ergen Motorsport Headers, Exhaust system runs from headers twin 2.5" stainless to behind the gearbox, then merges into a 3" Stainless system with Vibrant Resnator and Borla rear muffler. Aftermarket oil cooler mounted behind the front grills Walbro 255lph fuel pump, New fuel lines throughout, with new E46 M3 external 5bar FPR mounted in the engine bay. Steering and Suspension; Z3 Steering rack, New tie rod arms XYZ Coil over suspension, 450/670 spring rates Rear Powerflex trailarm bushes, Subframe mounts New rear handbrake shoes New rear UUC OEM E30 brakes, Hawk Pads UUC E30 BBK in the front, 300mm rotors, Hawk pads Braided brake lines Body and interior; Lachsilber original paint, cleans up very well but has some small dings and scratches, notable the front and rear bumpers have some scuffing and paint damage. Genuine Mtech 2 kit Recaro cloth interior Illuminated 6 speed M shifter, E36 Window switches M Sport button Genuine 16' ACS Wheels I'm going to start quite high, I really can't put a price on all the money I've put into this and the list above is no way near complete. I have tonnes of receipts totaling stupid amounts of money for the swap. If you are serious, flick me a PM and we can talk. 25k ono, to get the ball rolling. And yes I'm asking 'e46 m3' money, but this E30 is something else

Jamex are by far the worst in e30's, they sag like hell and are extremely soft. King's are progressive and already a higher rate than most aftermarket kits (440lbs rears and pretty sure King's are progressive). You can always get your own rear springs, I have XYZ 670lbs rear springs in an e30 Touring, they are alot stiffer than stock but rides nice and doesn't slouch as much in the back with weight. Jesus, I have never seen a bodykit added on a cert plate. Pillar gauges too. Wow.
-
Would look better with chrome bumpers rather than that horribly warped and chopped fiberglass kit.
-
Not really updating anything, Just putting it out there I've been on the fence with parting with it for a while. I've been thinking about moving to something newer, (e9x 335i) or throwing the swap into a coupe and turning it full track car. If anyone is actually interested though, I may be persuaded to part with it even though I never thought (or still even think) I actually would.
-
They were custom made. Just ask around, there are places that make / fit them.
-
Bump - Still looking
-
I'm looking for any kind of "Sucking jet pump" which I believe is found on some E39's, E46's (M3 for sure) and newer. Not fussed where it comes from, as long as the thing works and looks similar to the below one.

Bolt should be fine, it's the lock nuts that's need replacing. Did you phase the u joints correctly?
-
Did you put the whole driveshaft or just front half into your existing one? Did you pre-load the center hanger bearing?
