Hey so struggling to find good information hoping someones had the experience or knows on here if anyone's got a later model and played around with their exhaust. Basically what I am trying to find is were there any other BMW's that have a 3" exhaust, reason is I am trying to find a Remus muffler (I love their sound) that will fit my E30. Catch obviously being I've committed 3" already but don't like my current muffler, so have been on the hunt for a replacement. The one I knew of, e60 545i/550i that Josh used on his S50 E30 has been discontinued, have tried looking around locally and U.S if anyone still had stock but no luck. My only other lead is on a e60 535d, but I can't find a definitive answer! If anyone has a 535d and could measure it that would be fab. Or any other models that would be great. OOPS posted in the wrong forum fml

Might join in, price is a bit up there but could be fun.

Nice, I have the same one. They are good quality for the price.

Gripforce.com is good, they have a mix of kits / flywheels.
-
I wouldn't go too light, 6.5kg is fine for a flywheel and plenty light compared to the stock dual mass. Any lighter and your idle suffers and you also get alot more chatter and gearbox noise, maybe not so much with a ZF box but my Getrag box is really loud with a 6.3kg flywheel. I put in a mix of thicker oil and it quietened it but it's still pretty loud and can get annoying.

I used the Ados spray stuff to try stick my headliner back up and it eventually just comes off again. Although it's likely that it wasn't working well because it was me doing it while in the car, spraying the back board / fabric then sticking it up. Wasn't cleaning the surface or anything. It would stick up and look sweet for a couple months then eventually drop again. Especially with the windows down

Yours looks like it has 6cyl Super lows, the fronts way high for superlows. The spring pads are barely a few mm, even the E90 drop hats supposed 10-15mm difference in hat height still barely make a noticable drop (more than the rubbers would). I had them in a coupe years ago, very very soft compared to most springs.

220 and 240 both work

Mounts look fine to me and in the right position, it's definitely that gearbox flange. If you had a m40 g240 then it would most likely fit.
-
Oh yeah, I'm going to go with that rear flange sticking out being the issue. Never seen one stick out so far before, mine was the same as the m20 box.
-
What engine mounts did you use? e28 535 / m5? Offset holes are offset outwards each side?
-
Take it back and buy one from Pelican Parts or FCP Euro. OEM ones come with a new rod. Repco ones are sh*t.
-
Almost definitely an air leak. Take it back to your mechanic if he was the one who did the full job. Shouldn't be your issue.

M52 manifolds, front section cut the lower flange and extend it back further to clear the steering rack. The rear section you just need to cut a V on the under section behing the flanges and then bend the headers in closer to the block then weld them up, you can mig them. Heres a pic, i think the lower flange was cut and rotated to , since it sits closer to the gearbox needs to fit around. It's very easy to make them fit though.

You do get a slightly harder pedal feel with the smaller boosters. Pretty sure E32 dual booster fits with the right rear plate and you wouldn't lose as much brake assist.
-
How hard was it to get the headliner out? Didn't realize the whole card comes out. Are you going to retrim it and reinstall? Curious because mines sagging no matter how many times I glue it back up.
-
You realise m325i's go for 12k + M3's are fetching 5x that
-
No under dash panel, one odd seat. Kit fitment is average. Dunno, not a 10k e30 IMO.
-
I actually just had mine apart this weekend replacing shift knuckle and carrier bush. It's close but there's still room to fit and remove it without removing the top half of the hoop.

No one is going to be able to tell you. Get yourself a multimeter and do some troubleshooting. Do the switches have lights on? Indication there is power to the switches? Power at the fuse? Power at the motors?

They are only made for IS and Mtech2. They would probably fit under an Mtech1, depends if the valance is the same sort of shape and width. I'm not doing them again anyway, but pretty sure garagistic sells the same ones.
-
The biggest reasons are wheels and Brakes. You can weld tabs on e30 struts and mount the sway bar like an M3. garagistic sells them. The hubs fit over a spindle on the struts, they are not the same between regular e30 and M3's or else it would be as simple as a hub/bearing swap. Struts are essentialy the same, with the upper tab for Sway bar. http://store.garagistic.com/e30-performance-parts/e30-2002-weld-on-tabs http://store.garagistic.com/E30-Adjustable-Front-Sway-Bar-Links

Mines just stock I think, It looks lower than most e30's I thought it might have M sport suspension being an SE. I only use it as my run around so haven't really tinkered with it. Not sure if it was me, I can't remember the last time I went down cobham, but I was over that way of town last weekend. I'd remember if I saw an e30 like yours though.

Had to check my driveway. Looks exactly like mine, but weaves not bottlecaps.
