Weird ? I use Firefox with No script. Best combination Evar. No script blocks Everything on a page (pop ups, java, flash, apps) unless you allow them. So when you get to pages you can choose what you want to allow and what you dont want to allow. You set it once too and it will remember... So just going on to new sites, it will have things blocked and you will have to allow the things you want and leave the crap blocked.

Buy the BC golds someone is selling on here. Cheaper. But GC's let you choose spring rates when you get them so thats a huge benefit.

I think the speedring on the center is the wrong one for the diff, I used the one that came with the LSD cos I bent the original one taking it off. But yeah I pulled my diff and kerry suggested checking if I get a pulse from the diff, the one you lent me pulsed, my 4.45 locky I have (lol) pulsed too, but mine wouldnt pulse at all. So I pulled the diff, removed the back plate, and figured that the ring does work with the sensor, its just sitting too far out (like 2-3mm). So i grinded off about 2-3mm of the flat face of the sensor so it goes in towards the ring more, and checked if it would pulse and it did, chucked it back in the car and gave it a quick go and it worked. So yeah I'm happy I won't have to put that 4.45 diff in haha and yay I have a speedo again lol

Everythings working now , speedo and all. Cert check hopefully on thursday!

Ok I pulled the rear cover off, and the sensor and ring work - Thing is, the sensor is sitting too far from it. I'm pretty sure I used the speed ring that came with the LSD center too so maybe it was from a different diff or something ? Rangi fixed it by grinding the sensor face down so it sits furhur in and now it pulses, so going back in the car hopefully it works lol.

Just checked if it pulses and my diff doesn't pulse at all, when joined to the multieter it is just a 'beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep' I checked with 2 other diffs I have here and they both go beeep...beeep...beeep when spun. Why would my diff be like that ?? FYI the speedring IS on the diff center.

I havent had a working speedo since over a year ago. It all started when I swapped out the open center for an LSD center in my 3.64 medium case diff. It started spastically floating around (the needle on the speedo) and eventually one day died off.. Ever since then I have tried: Checked speedo ring is still on the diff center. 3 or 4 different diff speed sensors. 2 clusters. checked wiring and its sweet. I am thinking it's possible that the cluster i replaced it with was a dud? Otherwise , everything except the diff itself has been replaced and it's still a no go. I have a 4.45 diff i'm borrowing and may throw that in tomorrow to see if that works but other than that WTF could be up? Anyone got a cheap 100% garunteed working speedo I can check it out with/? Or anyone know a way to test if the speedo is working on a cluster, if so how?

Yeah I have the stage 3 F1 racing 6puk clutch and HD plate. It's real grippy (real noticeable when down shifting) but overall im real happy with it. Clutch pedal doesn't feel drastically heavier than having an OEM clutch either. I'm now using it with my m50b25 since I had it and it was practically still new and I'm happy with it. Just abit of a PITA using it with a very light flywheel!

As you say it is only when idling in traffic etc, that kinda leans it towards being the fan clutch.. Describe the brakes situation too. Sounds odd?

Oh, I was going to say.. lol. Do you paint them in the shed?
-
Do you have your own paint booth at home too ?

i like where this is going..

Yeah it's allgood haha, no clear cut views of them yet though. Man I am on the mean happy buzz atm haha.

Sounds like you need to get rid of the locky and stop doing skids IMO. haha.
-
You may aswell buy them in bulk at the rate your going. lol.

I did one on the cheap a couple years ago.. 885 325i head onto a 2.7 ETA bottem end, running motronic 1.3 ecu and a 325i ECU. Just all stock parts put together, pretty much all m20b25 parts except the block was a ETA block with 10.2:1 pistons. Compared to the m20b20 I had before the swap, the difference is insane.

Thats exactly what I'm replacing on my rack in about half n hour, I just bought a new one from Gavin (euro italian) for like $50. It's the Inner tie rod end. Looks pretty straightforward to swap. http://www.e30tech.com/articles/steering/tierods/

Manuals have lower ratios like 3.46, 3.64, 3.73, 3.91 I think Autos had more like 4.1, 4.27, 4.45. I guess it all depends what ratio you want to go for. With a high ratio diff from an Auto, the gears will be shorter, with a lower ratio diff the gears will be longer.

I should aye lol. m50 head recon'd and manifolds etc ready to be assembled again. Another resonator, this ones chambered and not straight through like the one infront of it. Hopefuly be alot quieter than it was.

Great thing about it, if you own one you can park Anywhere. Not much anyone else can do about it.
