  1. I'd remove the fuse for it, for now so you can atleast operate your car without it being on all the time.
  2. Looks pretty hardout and it's LHD too. Imported?
  3. It goes around the front / rear crank seal (it's apart of it) whichever end that was. If you pulled that out you should replace the seal..

Found somewhere who were more than happy to help out, taking it there on Monday. Will also be able to get the sump guard modded to fit under the m50 sump there too. Score!
  6. Holy hell. Epic bottom out. Is that the oil pump he's picking up afterwards?

Yes well we will see tomorrow.. Would not be the first time I have had half-done jobs finished / helped on where I have not had the tools / knowledge to do something and they have done it. I think the fact they have only a couple guys in their work shop now and it's really busy they don't want to take on such a big project. Hoping with the vast proportion of the job done they can chip a hand in and sus the head maybe.

No I first asked and they said no to begin with. I haven't been able to talk with the guy I need to, to ask if they will do it how it is now. It's just a head on the block at this stage. I take responsibility for installing everything else.

"They don't want to take responsibility for it", "not a stock configuration they don't know what they could be getting into" ? They want me to talk to the aftersales manager or whoever because he is the one that said no to the job, so I have to ring him later today and convince him.

Ugh too many tools to do this properly, by the time I find / buy everything I need like the special chain tensioning tool and cam alignment tool, sockets etc. Going to ring and beg Jeff grays tomorrow haha.

Yep, Jeff grey don't want to touch it even if I brought it into them at the stage it's at now - which is everything removed and just needs the head taken off. Sooo going to have to find an e12 torx socket and how to do the timing chain stuff.

Hopefully! They said around $600 + parts. But they are waaaay to busy and overbooked for days in advance to be carrying out a headgasket replacement. Thinking of stripping it down to the head - take it to them then all they have to do is pull the head, replace the headgasket then I can assemble manifolds etc. Yeah hard, all that luck with everything going so smoothly was too good to be true haha. Oh well I'm not too worried, new headgasket is quite re-assuring. Expect a text in the morning sir

Yep it was but the leak is very very slow, it only seeps out when it is running. Apparently there was a recall on the 90's for m50's about this issue where they were leaking out the rear of the head. They put pressure in the cooling system and apparently it was just spewing out.. New gasket and bolts on the way anywho. If anyone knows of a good DIY thread that would be MINT.

Cheers lol, but yep it was down there getting it all checked out and it is the headgasket that is blown sadly! Not good!!
  20. Yep I've used Megasquirt 1 V3 with an m20 turbo before.
  21. Very nice, How much did you pay for it? if you don't mind me asking.. All good if not - Just curious.
  22. Battery charged? Spade terminal goes to one of the sensors on the thermostat housing.
