Getting started on the m50 now.. e36 Oil pan removed Oil pump removed. e34 (top) vs e36 (bottom) sumps. Comparing the pumps, they are identical and I would have saved abit of effort by just switching that long pickup tube that runs to the rear with the e34 pickup. Doh.
-
No they didn't, Just put on from a sedan as they fit right up.
-
Throwing in some standard shock mounts you can drill out to fit these if wanted.. Any interest? Feel free to swing me an offer around $450 shipped and they're yours..
-
I agree lol both styles make me go nom nom nom, and I never nom nom nom at an e36
-
Sickest e36 I've seen. One of the only ones I actually do like. That stance is awesome.

Hah, In terms of my project I mean.. I already had a hoist sorted and your telling me not to use my 3 wheel trolley jack and use a hoist. Already there
-
Sweet will do, After a set of brand new ones though.
-
Haha of course not man, Already one step ahead of you. I have swapped in / out an m20 with gearbox 3 times. But not at my house though, cos we never had a hoist. My mate managed to sort me one that I can use for however long I want. Just sitting there waiting

Some Douche put a jack there and would have tried to jack the car. I bought it like that lol. Can't really straighten it up, I tried to but it is pretty hard. It's only the radiator support anyways.

He just didn't bother masking the subframe when he was prepping the engine bay. Not too worried. Can easily clean it off and paint the subframe etc.

After abit of 'evaluation' there is no way I would be able to lift the engine and gearbox in through the top with the car in the garage. Roof isn't all too high and yeah I can't push it out the garage either as our driveway is on a downwards angle. So I'm going to go with the idea suggested of going in from underneath. I've figured i'll def be able to get the car high enough the slide the m50 underneath. Also this way I will avoid messing up the paint this way (which I guarantee would have happened lol). So pulled the subframe now, while I wait for the front struts to be shortened. Oh and I learnt the hardway about fitting the steering covers while the dash is in. Top one wasn't too keen to fit with the dash in the way. Had to go back a few steps

Thats pretty sweet.. But have FUN moving it
-
Good sh*t man good to see it went well and I'm guessing you bought the 16" schnitzels? Should look sweet

Not sure what you mean by that? These are the custom shortened koni's distributed through Ground Control in their coil over kits if that helps. Ohh if you mean what they fit.... E30 all models e36 318ti z3 Since they all use the same rear shock setup afaik.

Anyone interested? I'll take $480 shipped
-
Thats lucky, after you collect your 2 free beers you won't have far to stumble home
-
It makes you talkative?
-
Where do people buy their Bilstein shocks new from? (sorry hijack)

Have a pair of e30/ e36 318ti/ z3 rear Koni adjustable shocks. Brand new never installed. About 20mm shorter than stock. These are the custom valved shocks distributed through Ground Control in their coil over kits. DO NOT include the upper shock mounts. Can throw in a pair of standard rear shock mounts, but not the ones pictured. $370 shipped! BRAND NEW. Offers welcome.

It looks like royalblue metallic like me and matty104's e30s ? That 'Blurple' colour.

Cheers guys, yeah definitley taking my time and triple checking things as I go. Currently having the front struts shortened about 2" and spacers made, then the perches welded on for the ground controls in front. Shops abit full on at the moment so could be expecting them about early next week if not by the weekend. Also they can't shorten my rear koni adjustables. So will have to sell these and maybe get some billy sports that I can shorten. Any ideas on the value of mine? 20mm shorter koni adjustable shocks. Anyone interested?

Not a bad idea heh. Would move it but can't be bothered finsding a new home for it and also the parcel tray will be left with some holes. I'll paint it black and you prob won't see it with a tinted rear window.
