Did you touch anything other than valve cover and valves?
-
Same here. That whole front has been crushed upwards. You would think they would have noticed it's not lifting the car by the amount its been bent up.
-
Haha just created a whole heap of pointless extra work for yourself. Oh well. I just dropped the whole subframe/diff/tral arms as one. Then took it apart when it was out. Makes life waaaay easier. But you need a beefy jack to hold it and drop it. Lifting it back I did the same, assemble it all with the diff and jack it up into place and sorted...
-
No ? You can remove the trail arm with the axles on them it makes no difference.
-
I managed to smash one out of a 'donor' trail arm I had with a BFH and pipe on the axle. The broken one that needed to come out in the car was a B*TCH and no matter how may whacks it received from my BFH it ended up going to BMW to have it pulled. I even tryed gear pullers to no sucess. No idea what they used though. But try your luck with a BFH anyways.

Looks alright. Tom hanks and Steven spielberg, should be good. But I can only take so many movies and game remakes of the WW1 WW2 scenarios...
-
Yeah I had the Blue turbo e30, which was once primered with a 2.7L in it and you traded me the lightweight flywheel for my stock one.
-
M20's don't have a thermostat on them though, And it's easily bypassed using the stock hoses. It's harder on the m50 because you would have to twist around the big 'T' hose that splits to the throttle body, expansion bottle, firewall etc, you would need to join it to the cooling rail thing on the m50. I don't think you can really do it that way though. It's no biggie anyhow.
-
Join the hose from the head straight to the throttlebody. You can cut and maneuver the hose (#14) to fit where #15 would go on the throttlebody. Then ditch hose 15.

Pod filter and big bore?

I was actually just talking to Jase this morning and he said he used Dent magician on his e30 touring. So they must be pretty good.

I was reading up on this not long ago, The m50NV intake cams are 240 degree duration. I couldn't find exhaust... But s50 cams are 252 intake / 240 exhaust. So best setup is to swap Intake cam over to exhaust side and get a 252 shrick cam (or a 252 regrind) for your intake. Then you would have the same cams as an s50. It's all on R3v anyways, Hard to find the threads though.
-
Mint, I'll PM you and get that of you sometime.

Was that an offer to have it free? lol Does it screw on in any way or will it wobbly round and around ?

Just a whole heap of 10mm bolts. You will need to remove the cover, then coil packs, then the valve cover. There are 2 sets of sparkplug gaskets. One for the front 3 cylinders, and 1 for the back 3. They all come with the valve cover gasket as a set (1 valve cover gasket, plus the 2 sets of sprakplug gaskets). $45 from Gavin.
