CS4s main new features are linked to the speed which it does things. I think it mainly runs off the video card and not the comps ram. there are the usual new features which will never use such as the new 3d tool.

I am also a qualified graphic designer in the industry. And Chris is correct the only thing that will get you a job is your talent and ability to sell it. It doesn't really matter where you studied or for how long you studied. It is your portfolio that will get you a job. I'm sorry to say I don't know of any jobs going, but I do know a few people looking. So you have to find your point of difference and sell it to people. Cheers Jamie

As it has been previously said its not a programme you can pick up straight away but with plenty of practice it gets easier. Them main reason i keep upgrading to the new software is the features in the new versions allow me to work faster. therefore being more cost effective. If all you want to do is edit car pics and mess with the odd photo then an older version will work fine for you.

I was going to get the iDAX001 unit but after speaking to an alpine salesperson he said its ok but the 9887 unit has much more features for sound quality and just as good ipod intergation... you jus dont get the flashy screen. however i think the iDX100 is out now. I dont think it has as many features as the 9887 but has more than the idx001 I have the 9887 and it is a fantastic unit

Your right. Illustrator is a vector based programme where as photoshop is pixel based. You can illustrate your vehicle in photoshop but the difference is that the drawing done in illustrator can be blown up to any size and you will not lose any quality and the photoshop one will look pixelated as you scale it up
