  5. Am installing manual box from a 1986 e30, with the older carrier and urgently need the rear support/bracket that connects the rear carrier bush to the floor pan as below, not sure what it look like.
  6. Urgently need a part to complete my conversion, i have the older style steel shifter barrier and need the rear support. Not sure what it look like but this is where it goes, linking that rubber bush to the floor pan.
  7. Got PPI done quite a list, RCGs, power steering leaks, trans leak, headlight adjusters, wheel alignment, will need to be cheap.
  8. Check valve is non return valve to hold pressure after shutoff. Might allow car to run briefly with no pump but sounds odd. Have you tried jumping the fp relay to get car running?
  9. I see this as an alternative - i imagine the 6 would be cheaper to run too http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=657971736
  10. BM workshop want $180+ for a PPI, any other recommended options around grey lynn?
  11. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-665154226.htm Am looking at this for a family member, has anyone had a look? would also appreciate a VIN decode; WBADN62060GF11173. Car jam shows it as an ASE not msport...no service history after 218k which was AUG 2011
  12. I tries that wrinkle paint on my m60 rocker covers - the cap was orange but the paint was red . The car is blue. and the wrinkle is inconsistent - possibly due to me curing it in the BBQ with the lid down I hate that paint now.
  13. E.T watched it with my 6 and 7 year olds in the weekend. I was the only one sniffing .....goddammit. must have been hungover.
  14. Took it to dealer for trans service and scan. No faults in computer but likely has broken chain guide good to eliminate other issues i suppose but not a nice looking DIY.....

  17. I didn't think that Black plastic could be welded?
  18. Anyone know where to get Delrin bushes for the shifter linkage in NZ?
  19. Well the old bitch was just tricking, after a longer drive the stall is back. It seems to be the last downshift of the trans that causes the stall On medium throttle the car shifts normally, on light throttle the up shifts are a bit laboured, like the handbrake is being lightly applied as the shift occurs. I took it to a trans shop for a round the block diagnosis but the guy said it was ok and the stall was an engine issue. Suggestions still wanted........
  20. I have fitted std m3 springs into e30 and they give a nice drop on a 4cl, even better in a 6cyl. Maybe try to find some of those. If you decide to buy locally I have 2 sets of genuine e30 Msport spings, one set just 4 springs and another including complete front strut assemblies. Also got a set of low King springs for e30.PM me if interested
  21. You haven't said what year the 320i is...... Unless you can do the work yourself (and even then not) it won't be worthwhile converting the manual to auto so after you convert the 325i to manual you will only get wreckers pricing for the 320i shell, and a spare auto box. Approx $400 for the shell and maybe $200 for the trans on TM if someone needs a replacment. You will get more parting the car out if you have time and can wrench. An engine swap into the 320i would also require a cert to be legal and possibly a change of electronics depending on the age of it. You'd also wanna check what the strut size/brake configuration of the 320 body is. Remember you need more from the donor car than just the box. MIght be worth taking both to a good wrecker/mechanic that does conversions, get a deal to drive one away all changed over, they keep the rest. Just my view.
