  1. Yeah that sounds good, if I could weld.......too late now.
  2. I snapped a m6 valley pan bolt on my M60B40, tried to shape the stub and get vice grips on it etc with no luck. Ground it flat last night and tried to drill and ezi-out it, using a fluted ezi-out, which just bent. It now has a 9/64" hole right through it, slightly off centre. Am now considering either just leaving it - its not on a corner so the bolts either side might be enough?, or drilling it right out and tapping it for the next size up. would something like JB Weld or some epoxy work to cement in a smaller bolt? like let it set then give it a 1/4 turn? torque set is only 10Nm Suggestions?
  3. rust holes in the fire wall (hope not) misaligned rubber grommets where cables/pipes pass through into engine bay windscreen seal.
  4. As luck would have it I have a set of genuine msport springs out of my red e30 that can be for sale. PM me if interested. I should have a pic somewhere of the ride height although mine is '88. You can get the e90 top hats off TM or new from your favourite bmw parts supplier. The rears are not a strut, so no top hat there, the rears will always look lower due to the guard shape so I'd suggest you do the front first and see how it sits. A rake is required if you want the arch gap the same front and rear. Please do your own research into the suitability of E90 top hats/perches and the reported 10mm drop.
  5. Factory msport springs with e90 top hats would be getting close to that ride height. Personally I think stock shocks will be fine.
  6. this will be a retrofit so looks like I need the GRA/MFL cable set to get the buttons working.

  11. I tried to school up on these while fixing my sisters one, luckily for me a new throttle body fixed a cold stalling issue. Its still not feeling quite 100% but runs ok. I see (read on the googlenet) a "throttle body alignment" is recommended if you have cleaned/removed the throttle body. Will be following with interest to see how you get on.
  12. have you checked the TPS ? reset the timing?

  15. recently bought a 1.4 polo for my sister with the stalling issue. I got lucky and found a good runner at pickapart and stole the throttle body, injector rails, leads, PCV trap, etc. I tried a new the temp sensor first with no luck. Throttle body swap cured it. Buggered if I can find the bell housing hole to check the timing tho'.......
