  1. It was good to see a few of you guys out on Sunday - I hope you had fun. Unfortunately I need to point out that mud, snow & rally tyres are not permitted at either motokhanas or autocrosses. Normally it's stated in the series regulations, but the committee made the assumption that everyone knows what the regulations are, and kind of never got around to writing the series regulations. Banned tyre list
  2. Hi, Just a reminder that the Pukekohe Car club is holding a motokhana on Sunday 13th at their Club rooms, Station Rd, Pukekohe (Map). The venue is grass. Documentation is for 10 am at the venue. Cars need to be of WOF standard, any car without a WOF will be subject to scrutineering check. No open footware - jandels etc Drivers need to be over 12. After the event the club is holding it's annual prizegiving so we'll be opening the bar and firing up the barbeque.

    M20 Rockers

I've been hitting over 7k with the stock (but new) rockers in my M10. Although I suspect I'm pushing my luck.
  4. On Sunday 29th Pukekohe Car Club are holding a hillclimb at Murray Road, Tuakau. A good friend of mine and his son will be offering rides in their rally cars for $50 a ride. (They're raising money to fund Sam's trip to the USA playing for the New Zealand University Colts rugby team). Noel drives an Evo and San drives a Mirage running an n/a Evo engine, both are seriously quick competitors. There are 8 spots available, 4 in each car. If anybody is interested PM me and I'll get you in contact with them. Further details on the event are available on the PCC Website

    JiB's POS

Hey JiB, Are you coming out for a play @ Bright rd next weekend?
  6. Whaanga Coast Possum Bourne Rally 2009 and from Maramarua Forest in 2006
  7. http://www.autohausaz.com They generally arrive in less than 7 days
  8. Inka M3 My Inka 2002 edit - sorry missed the other thread
  9. It would be nice to see them go back to rallying, it would cost them less and they could probably even win some events. Perhaps they could use that new light weight rear wheel drive car that they're developing with Subaru
  10. Yes, I've attached a link to a map to my orginal post
  11. The A & P show grounds and the Saleyeards are fairly flat, I'd say if you can get a WOF you would probably be OK. Gravel dosn't appear to mark wheels, it's more the insides of guards and other paint work but only if you don't have reasonable mud flaps. Of course you can do the course with out spinning the wheels and everything will be fine. Put this way, I let my son and daughter do them in "Sally" but they're not allowed to go completely nuts with handbrake slides etc, the paint work and alloys appear to be fine. If they want to go completely ape sh*t they have to use "Inky" Later - in winter 2010, Come out and have a look anyway $20 for a motokhana, $10 if you're under 18. Sprints/ hillclimbs around $70
  12. 28th Nov- Tarmac Hillclimb, Bright Rd Waiuku 29th Nov - Gravel Hillclimb, Murray Rd, Tuakau 13th Dec - Grass Motokhana, A & P showgrounds Pukekohe (this is also the clubs end of year prize giving and BBQ) 31st Jan - Grass Motokhana, Airfield Rd, Ardmore 14th Feb - Grass Autocross, venue tba Twight bent sprints (approx 6pm start) - Pukekohe park raceway 3 Feb, 17th Feb, 3 Mar, 17th Mar In theory all of these events can be done in a car without a cage, Motokhana - basically just turn up. Autocross's require club membership, helmet , fire extinguisher & overalls Sprints & hillclimbs generally also require a race license. Personally I wouldn't race up Murray Rd in a car without a cage. Check this google calender for up todate event info I don't believe they need it for motokana's
  13. This is first of a number of clubsport events Pukekohe Car Club will be holding over the summer, (actually it's #2 but the rain the other week changed all that) Most of the events will be on grass but the first one is on gravel at the Tuakau Saleyards. For a motokhana you require a car in good working order, if it doesn't have a WOF it will be subject to a safety check. closed footwear. You need to be a member of a club but you're allowed to do two events before you have to join. Check out the following for the last event that we held at this venue http://www.youtube.com/user/pointofsale It's likely that there will be a number of 1st timers (including my 13 year old daughter) so don't be embrassed about having a go Edit Map to venue , documentation at 10am
  14. Hi looking, for a right hand sun visor for an E36 compact, colour is off gray (SANDGRAU ?) Looking at the part numbers it's difficult to say if one from an E36 sedan will fit or if it's just the colours are that are sightly different (HELLGRAU)

    Autocross

Sorry - We've had to cancel, too much rain.

    Autocross

I've just been told that you'll also need a fire extinguisher in your car as well. I have a spare one I can lend but not a bracket for it. The weather is looking a bit marginal but we'll probably leave it until the morning before making a go / no go decision, check either the pcc website (links through to a google calender) or this thread before you leave.

  21. Petrol Used: 98 Octane Engine Size: 4Cyl, 2L Trans: Manual Car Year: 1970 42l/100k =2.3km/litre Possum Bourne memorial Rally 2009, average of fuel usage during special stages. (we did about 8L/100 on the touring sections, average for the whole event was 20l /100 km)
  22. I concurr with Cam. Remove the top timing cover (the one attached to the head) then just remove the 4 bolts holding on the cam sprocket and you should be able to remove the sprocket. Sometimes I've found it helped to remove the chain tensioner, (the M19? cap on the the exhaust side) but it shouldn't be absolutely necessary.
  23. Hi, Just about to order an adjustable cam timing sprocket from the US, but if anybody has one laying about or knows of a local source please PM me Cheers Craig
