Just ordered dual vanos teflon seal replacement upgrade kit for my E46 cold start idle surges from Beisan Systems. Any of you guys with M52/54 engines have cold idle or low RPM bog issues? Stock vanos seals degrade due heat and synthetic oils allowing oil to bypass vanos pistons, especially sprung loaded exhaust vanos effecting torque and linear power curve. Said to be a problem after 20,000 mls.

Anyone had this before? Started car normal this morning, drove around 100m on road noticed drop in power and EML fault light. Limped home. Disconnected battery, removed and cleaned MAF with contact cleaner. Reconnected battery after 30mins, drives fine now! Any thoughts? Maf on way out? Cheers.

Maybe my age slowing me down, but a 200hp TQ engine in a luxury sedan, car was designed for auto. Heavy car nice to drive, manual- no. Thats wat the M series is about! If I want to clutch in traffic 300hp is the cross over.

Had a look on realoem, front pipe to header flange is the same. So length is only issue. From runner four lower stud hole to outer header flange bolt hole is 24cm. Unit weight is 4kg.
