I know its bad, no-one can tell exactly why its though, all looks normal underneath. The subframe is bent from when my mate put it into the curb which is causing a bit more toe out but the camber is really bad on both sides, and was before curb.
Its not as bad as that at the moment, that was with 40mm springs, 20mm in there now. I'm running newish Boge Turbos (don't mock em, work plenty well enough for me). I've got new subframe ready for the bits to welded on to as soon as i'm back home.

I'm definatly ordering some, getting the toe adjustment as well, not many people know but incorrect toe can cause really bad tire wear as well. I'm not sure how toe will be affected if you start playing with the camber.
Any engineering will be able to weld them up less than an hour no worries. Might be an idea to weld in some more strengthening brackets on the trailing arms like the M coupe has if you guys are going to track your E30's.
Whats the deal on certification with these kits? Just put em' on, paint the subframe and hope no-one notices? Lastly, any reason these wont work with urethane bushes?

$70 for a new master cylinder, $30 or so for some gearbox oil. I've had my E30 for 2 and half years. Only time its going to be more expensive is if you have clutch problems. Hydraulic problems are common but they are pretty cheap and easy to fix. Otherwise both auto and manual tranny's seem pretty bulletproof.
How often are people changing the diff and gearbox oil?

watch it princess
There was no way the plug was coming out with just a pipe wrench. I doubt they had been touched in 5 years. They were almost as bad as the diff plugs, I had to hang off the end of a meter long extension to get them undone, broke my allen key as well.

I just made one using a nut screwed onto a 17mm hexhead bolt. If the nut and bolt keep coming undone just use a couple of small welds to hold them together.

IBTL
whoa, where the hell did all that come from?
nz318i, I was sticking up for you but that outburst was really uncalled for.
As for the Beema hard-outs... I really don't give a dam I can't be considered a proper enthusiast as I don't use the word bimmer
I have read plenty of times the difference between bimmer and beamer but it just doesn't matter. C'mon guys its just the internet.
Back on topic, about your car, nice choice in wheels but too low for my liking. Whatever suits you though.

Paint
in Maintenance
Open up your bonnet and on the strut tower there will be a black sticker with your paint code, sticker will probably say alpinwieb or something and will have some numbers. They your paint code, take it to a autobody paint shop and they'll get you the exact match, either in a spray can or to use with a compressor.
probably either:

I saw I pic of them on a white E30 and i thought they looked good. Different from the boring normal lights but way nicer than those shithouse altezza jobs.

I hate pussys who try and pass other cars at 105K when there is a huge stream of vehicles behind them. I also hate people who travel at 95K most of the time then speed up when they get to a passing lane.

Welcome to the site
2 possible options are to get a brake booster from an E21 as they are a bit smaller, or you could get a custom manifold made. I'm sure there are more options but those are the ones I know of.
Word of advice, you'll get more help from people if you dont type in txt, just makes your posts so much easier to read.
Cheers

Gutted. Atleast you'll get plenty of practise with 180hp before going nuts with 300hp, besides, Ian seems to get along fine with his 2.3L NA.
As for turbo, what compression ratio do you think you'll go with, 8.5:1?
PM'd ya about my block.

Thats pretty much all you need, freight will own you though. Make sue he's going to include the master and slave cylinders and hydraulic lines too.

The 260 box works with the M50 doesn't it?

I'll admit I've gone overkill on my subs setup. Basically did it as I got the subs cheap and wanted a project. If I did it again I'd just have a decent 10" sub. I couldn't go back to stock speakers and no sub now, it just sounds odd without subs. Also, my car is the only chance I get to listen to music loud and clear.

I definatly prefer stock to rice but that car euroboy posted is very cool.please dont tell me you like stock standard bmw's that ppl dont look twice at?
Who cars if people look at your car? I didn't buy my car cos it was a BMW, i brought it becuase it was cheap, reliable, safe, easy to work on and rwd. the fact its a bimmer is just a bonus.
Gotta love the chrome on pre F/L but i hate the rear end on them, spare tire well showing is not a good look.

I hate f**king morons who shoot at helicopters trying to rescue people.
oh and SUVs

Just boost it! If you do put a rod through the block I'll trade you my 2.5 block for a dozen heineken.

Normally its refinded at marsden point or wherever and then each company adds its own additives. So similar but not the same.
-
I think some chips can remove speed limiters, not sure about the later model cars though.
Read somewhere BMW will de-restrict the CSL if you have the right race licences, not sure if theres any truth to that.

Sadly depends on how my bank account is looking.
The worst its gotten is Tasmin Bitter. Never again.
Normally I choose between Tui or Export, the usual student rubbish. Usually more into my lagers.
If I have got money or its on special I'll always grab some heineken. Love that stuff.
Anyway, biggest rule is it has to be cold. And I prefer a glass as well.
