  1. Lots of people still haven't forgotten about the Damon Hill incident. Also him and Ferrari quite often seem to get their own way when no other team would. That said the man is a freak behind the wheel and IMO still has a few seasons left in him. Its great to see a much more competitive season though.

    Torque Wrench

Like evryone else has said, spend a bit extra and buy a decent one. Just a side note, remember to set the torque wrench back to zero when you've finished using it. Can through the calibration out if you dont.

    Trademe Browsings

Theres also an auction for a 2.7 engine and gearbox on there somewhere.
  4. I am interested in the sides but don't see why the fronts just can't be cut out from some plastic sheet.
  5. Glenns right again. from that BMW M siteBasically the S50B32 engine is the good one while the yanks S52B32 is a midly modified M52. Difference is quite a bit: 321Hp(S50) vs 240Hp (S52)

    My M325i death

Hey, take that back. As far as I'm aware mine is rust free. *Touch wood*
  7. 6 cyls are heavy. Not good for racing.
  8. Sounds like you did a nice job on that camber. Still for all work involved I'd rather do it once and make it all adjustable. I'd just hate to do it all over again if it wasn't right. As for those bushing from what I've been told they are a bitch to adjust and don't stay in alignment that well. Also when you change camber you end up changing toe as well.
  9. But the bloody vice grips will take up more space than leaving the lever attached!
  10. Got a few questions for you if you don't mind... How exactly did you do it- Just pull the subframe out and slot the holes? How well does it stay aligned? Is it easily adjustable? What about toe-did you leave it alone or modify that as well? Cheers
  11. Tim's right, probably will need to change the guts of the afm because of the different managment systems. Is this the baur that you bought? I agree with Cam about the Vane AFM being the biggest restriction, MAF setup would be awesome. emma- e is eta, or economy. actually a 2.7 but less revs, smaller intake/exhaust etc
  12. Have looked at different options and the best one is to modify the subframe. Do a search, E30-323ti posted a link to the page that shows youru how to do it. As for actually modifying the frame, there is far more to it than you first realise. You actually need to machine up some small plates to weld on to the subframe, there isn't enough metal on the existing tabs to just slot the holes and weld on small tabs. This isn't shown on that website. The bolts also just aren't any bolt, they can be brought from the dealer for around $100, (for 4) you might as well just buy them for the trouble in making them. Ireland Engineering also sells a kit that include the plates and the bolts/washers but you will need to buy 2 kits. You would be stupid not to do both camber and toe at the same time, changing one can affect the other and a toe out on the rear will cause as wear if not more than the camber. I have talked to an engineer about all of this and it is not a cheap or easy option I have been planning on doing this for over a year but there has always been some other problem or delay. Cheapest option is to rotate tyres but then that rules out aysemetricals.

    lowering tips

Whats the ground clearance on your car? Must be under 100mm or bloody close to it. Did you get it certed or are you just over the limit?
  14. I dunno about yours but my bonnet release needs quite a decent pull to release. I wouldn't have thought any reasonable sized solenoid woul dhave been stong enough, good luck with the washing machine one though. Just leave it loose in the glovebox, its out of the way. How often do you open your bonnet anyway? If it were me i'd save time/money for something else. My 2c
  15. Depends hugely on model, options, condition, transmission. What model did you have in mind?

    Mtech2 wing

That was the plan but, not much chance of that happening. Andrew would be right, everyone with an E30 would be watching that auction. Still, you never know though.
  17. Almost a year ago, first and only ticket. :banghead: And it wasn't even my fault...

    Mtech2 wing

keeping an eye on it anyway. Was waiting for someone to post the link.
  19. Just doesn't look right, it needs that add on piece behind the rear windscreen. Don't really know how to describe it better than that. Mtech 1 front also kills the look a bit.

    New car...

They actually pretty keen on a 318 E36, they don't want something to big. Looking at something around 95/96. Most of those early E36 problems should have been sorted out by then right? Couple of questions though about them, when was the E36 facelift and what did it change? And the engines, what model are they and what size, does it change through out the model lifetime? Cheers guys

    New car...

I was thinking primera, the P11 shape is going for under 10g now.
