    Yoko have change the A539 to C-drives, Grant has some of those, I'll let him comment on those. If the NCT5 are anything like the NCT3 they aren't that good, my toyo TPTs had much more grip. Have you considered Toyo T1-S or the new T1-R? Not cheap but i hear very good things about them. I think *sic is T1-S which have just been replaced by T1-R but you could probably get either. Most Michelin are also good but expensive. Have the direzza's replaced the FM901 by any chance? I've got FM901 on the front (cheers jamahl) and am very happy with them. My 0.02
  2. nah, internal wastegate. controls boost pressure. internal is fine for low pressure but ya need an external if you are going to run high boost. what bimmer boy is talking about is the blow off valve, goes off whens the throttle is suddenly shut so the charge of air doesn't go back to the turbo and slow it down, or something along those lines.

    I saw a rather strange classified ad today, was for a suposed E30 3 series M but was diesel, would this have the forged crank in it? it was in the damaged cars section so i reckon it would go pretty cheap. Just posted it up in case anyone was looking for a forged crank for some project. Cheers
  7. I had a quick play on a pre-release version today. Only used the E60 M5 and its quite different to GT3 to play, main difference is cars will snap back much quicker if you get it sideways, much more realistic. the shop said its out on March 10

    if ya do buy it you'll probably need to oil it, otherwise its not going to be filtering anything. Don't put too much on either or you can screw up your afm

  17. I think that those things he mentioned are causing the play in the rack, I've never heard of a rack wearing out. The link rod end could also possible be the tie-rod end, which shouldn't be too hard to replace. you will need an alignment afterward though. if it is sway bar related then thats also a pretty easy job.

    It is possible that is the noise, in auto transmissions the oil is circulated by the input shaft, whereas in manuals the oil is circulated by the output shaft. so when you put it into drive the input shaft is circulating the oil. as for the air con, it does put a lot of extra load on the motor so maybe it is justextra engine noise.

    Just make sure it is the fuel pump before you go and buy one. Disconnect return hose from FPR then run the pump, after 30 secs you should have at least 875 ml. And the fuel system changed between 87 and 88, pre 88 have 2 pumps, one transfer pump in the tank and then the main fuel pump. 88 and onwards just have the main pump in the tank.

    nice, can i ask about details of the conversion? We used L-jet when we put a 2.5 in my mates 320. I also know the same person with a proper 325 exhaust if you are interested.

  24. Am i right in saying the braided lines will only make the pedal feel better, they wont actually help reduce fade will they?
  25. All the wiring is there. You just need the switch and the relays to plug into the fuse box. You may also need the bulb that goes into the dash. If you do it that way it will be the same as factory. Also, there is sort of a pre-facelift facelift. The early E30's (85 or earlier) have a different front lip arrangment. (this has something to do with the brake ducts) although the foglights are the same the brackets that hold them in are different.
