i have just put a pod in mine and shielded it properly. definately an advantage over the panel. the main problem as i see it is that the panel is just too small...the one in my sis old primera is bigger!
ha try and tell that to the r3v clones

use spring clamps if standard springs and then a rattle-gun for the top nut.

coo, I'd like a nice type R oneday

Keeping a more sophisticated higher performance car close to, or slightly over the edge; takes much more skill because transitions happen much quicker and are MUCH sharper.
Fully agree with you on that but you have to agree an E30 is more involving than an E36

depends what you want the car for. E36 is much more of a crusier car, I find them a bit boring to drive but they are comfortable and better if you always have people in the car. E30 much more fun to chuck around in the twistys.

Also if you are planning some mods you may void your warranty, just something to think about

Anyone got any spare rear spring pads lying they wouldn't mind selling?
Or has anyone got stock rear springs I could borrow for the weekend?
SH1 is a bit rough on the exhaust with a full car.

Neat, are those tec1 skirts without the wheel arch bits? i like it, bit different.
Any ideas on hp?

can't wait to see this take shape.
Why you sticking with M20?
surely you would get better results with an M50 or something like that?
just curious

It was tuned properly from the factory.
not exactly true, they did have to worry about people putting in shitty gas etc.
If your prepared to run 98 a chip could make a decent difference.
Still, $700 for 15hp (claimed), barely seems worth it.
Go link, best thing is you can get rid of crappy AFM

S50 is 3L (US Market)
S52 is 3.2L
pretty sure S50 is OBD1 while S52 is OBD2
S52 is basically a bigger M52 with hotter cams and maybe a few other bits.

I've put 50000km on mine, its now at 255000 and I haven't done anything engine/drivetrain wise. (other than fluid changes)
doesn't smoke, or use water/oil
replaced exhaust, brakes and most suspension stuff

I heard steve was taking too long to get to heaven so Brocky said he'd drive.

I know your pain, not sure whether its cos they are a soft wheel or just becuase they are 20 years old and have seen a few km

do you need the shocks to be shorter?
otherwise put them in. They're stiffer than standard so will be better suited to your stiffer springs (assuming you lowered your car properly) and are also brand new so wont be worn out like your old standard ones, will transform the car.
standard e36 performance

oops, never finished that post.
What I was going to say was that espically in my e30 with no PS you can really feel everything happening much better. Yeah so its not as fast as an E36. I know my driving skills aren't up there to drive a well setup E36 on the limit, probably a good thing I get understeer. My E30 has enough grip with decent 195's on 14" rims, and thats one of the reasons I'm only upgrading to 205's instead of 225's.
