  1. Most (i though all) E30 M10's are L-jet. Mines the very last of them and is still L-jet. Maybe your early car is K-jet or something? Can take a look and my car or bentley manual if you want... Still keen to take that dud M10 off you sometime.
  2. Gus, i thought you said E28's use same size as E30 M3, smaller than 750 MC but bigger than E30. last I checked realoem homepage was down but you could link to the etk.

    Tyre choice

    ^ good deal, take it
  4. AFAIK only noticable differnce will be ratios and maybe length. Ratio shouldn't matter too much but you may need a different driveshaft. (assuming sensors are where they should be)
  5. like where to drill to mount a fire extinguisher?Sorry, couldn't resist.

    Repainting Rims

I was quoted $25-35 per rim to get them powder-coated, but they had to be stripped first.
  7. S54 but few extra ponies over standard M3 engine. Trick carbon airbox and a few other things to get the extra power
  8. about the driveshaft, just use the whole thing, saves having to get it balanced. Agreed on ABS, not worth the hassle and just something else to go wrong. I'd use your old clutch cylinders, (or buy new ones) alot of people have had clutch hydraulic problems after conversions, might be something to do with seals drying out or something. Pit not really needed. did 2.0 to 2.5 conversion without one, and we dropped the box seperately. (Now I know better) Axle stands and jacks should be fine. EDIT- take bonnet off anyway, don't try lift engine and box out thru the bonnet. Drop it out underneath the car.

  13. while we're talking brakes... depending on availability of the rotors over here this could be a reasonably cheap upgrade... http://www.e30tech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23550

    HAPPY EASTER!!!

pity you only had the DRZ on the beach, bit of a waste really. still badass though. skids, wheelies and 150+kph and no police
  16. www.bmw2002.com get trailing arm bushes, subframe bushings, and see what they got for CABs. Thats where I got all my stuff. Cheaper than rubber replacements and make a huge difference if you current bushings are f**ked. You're gonna have some fun replacing that lot with a socket set. its not hard, just make sure you got the right gear.
  17. Thats odd about the tierods, I was told they were different between power and manual racks. Maybe because mine has the damper? All you can do is try it and see.
  18. aah, that would explain why my 2 racks were different. Both off preF/L '87s though. Which is the one to go for- or is it just personal preference? I got the later one on my car (very last of preF/L)
  19. good sh*t on the conversion. nz320i- wouldn't even bother with OEM CABs. I'm running powerflex bushings and got no complaints. If you can get a few other people keen powerflex will give a decent discount. Me and 2 other cost some and cost around $90 a pair shipped. Pretty easy to install (need a press for OEM) I might be able to make chch meet, but not for atleast 3 weeks.
  20. Theres a few around, I have one, so do a few others on bimmersport. Supposedly you can just remove your pump and then loop up the hoses on your rack. Haven't tried it though and I don't know if it will do any damage to the rack.
  21. um I only found one for E46 at a cost of $260NZ, and you have shipping on top of that.
  22. how much we looking at for one to fit an E36?
  23. whats the replacement interval for chains? ie the one in my M10
