Cheers, TBH it has been on axle stands the last four months so I haven’t cleaned it in ages I will have to after 14k of dusty roads yesterday though. It has so much wax on it will just hose off. I love the thing but it’s a bit small, I feel like a giant in it, needs some leather so I can slide in and out easy

He sells the sh*t on TM so im guessing it was in some way a demo car.. he must do ok selling HID kits! Im in the wrong game.

I would say avoid the Toyo T1R if you have concerns about tyre wear, I have a set on my E30 and they are wearing very quickly, they do however grip like fork and are outstanding on the racetrack, would recommend them on a weekend car.

On the road again! Thanks to Gavin and Euro Italian for the brilliant service and reasonable prices and this very helpful guide to changing the Tensioner, belts and water pump..also swapped out the thermostat that looked like something found at the bottom of the ocean and did a filter and oil change, 20w40 to quieten the old engine up a bit.. Would you believe the hardest part of the job was removing the old oil filter! The Extractors make it a tough job. Painted and Fitted strut tower brace also so that was Saturday gone then went to the beach on Sunday.

Sold mine with a blown water pump for a few hundred. Throw it on TM.

They had to give it something, people would get board and keep pressing the hazard lights otherwise. I would just market it as a Type-R. Do not want.

Happy Birthday Grant Lance, wishing you an day filled with awesome.

happy Birthday Grant, have a nice sunday!

Cheers, lots of nice toys there! Check out the Powercruise burnouts!

And they had MASSIVE 16†R.O.H Astrons that I thought were wicked, it was 1994 and 16" was like 20" today. The 1994 EB Falcon XR6 Tickford was far superior though.

Na Pirelli’s are at least twice as good because I have a set.. Impressed with the new Good Year, the GDS3 won the wheels test convincingly a few years back also.

Gavin is the man, no mucking around and patronising you because you don’t remember the lats twenty digits on your vin code when your only ordering a Oil filter! Got all the parts I needed no fuss next day on my door. Ready to get dirty tomorrow. Cheers for the Chocolate bar to Gavin, does that go in with the Thermostat

Sorry that’s what I meant, nothing wrong with a V6 in a good FWD chassis, especially when it’s as good as the Mondeo’s.
-
Also, the BMW could do run after run after run but the GTS would do it one time in ten

Vectra’s are way better yea, proper sporty like, Fords are Chav mate, where’s your trackies?? Having had a couple of Vauxhalls and looking at the UK sites for information, they to have a rivalry going. The F6 is the best on the block at the moment, tuna-bility is amazing, the last good straight six before Ford go to the FWD V6 of fail in a couple of years!

Had the same issue when I was trying to purchase replacement tyres of the same type recently, seems Dunlop replaced a tyre that in my opinion is the best affordable sports tyre the Sports Max with the new asymmetrical type.. Have seen 40,000+ kilometres out of a set of asymmetric Dunlop SP Sport 01’s on our old Holden Astra Turbo, it was a FWD though and had corect camber settings, so if you fit them ensure your wheel alignment is correct and check the wear regularly. Is it lowered or does it have worn bushes? Are you replacing the whole lot or just a pair? Swap old ones from front to back and stick the new asymmetric on front. Im sure our resident tyre expert will chip in with his opinion soon.

Fair call, my Commonwhore mates are the same, they will all turn up to a dyno day though.. As great as the 335i it lacks two things that are any cars proverbial testies, a manual gearbox and a limited slip differential, without those it’s as good as castrated…the GTS has both. Oh, and with some M/T drag tyres the GTS will run low 13's, with a chip it will be in the hight 12's

d*ck Find a matching fabric from a non worn back seat at a wrecker, strip it and have the ripped patches recovered with the matching fabric..well that’s what I did.

Shhh the BMW fanboys will get jealous.. They can be compared to the E39 M5 in performance. Lucky you got a manual! You could get another 25-30kw for around 5k, they are reasonably unrestricted out of the box compared to older models, the 6.2 will unleash 45-50kw for the same coin.
