I understand the logistics and sales side of things, the E31 was a slow seller when it come out, never mind at the end of its life. I was more wondering what the legality's were around registering a car years after after it was actually built.
-
How does this work, did they land the car and never register it until sold? I wonder how long you could keep a car before registering. Spotted something similar the other day, had to correct a guy who told me he had brought a 2007 model car but one look at it told me it was a 05 as the manufacturer had face-lifted the model early 06. Bit wrong selling a two year old car as brand new.

A pretty good reason to get your PPI done with a reputable garage!

To me he sounds like your typical second hand car buyer in NZ, so many dreamers, have done business with lots myself. "oh you are selling this 10 year old car with 100,000 for 10% its original price, why is it not brand new for me?" If he wants a brand new car he should work harder and buy one, you would not buy a 8 year old fridge/freezer or trademe at less than 10% its original price and expect it to be mint now would you? -
Really, your single over head cam low revving Toyota V8 sounds like a high revving 400BHP Audi V8? I need to hear this thing, that is remarkable.

That car cornered flat and fast!

Hi Jake Still recommend autoquip for KW, have been running them this year and they are fantastic quality. If you have the money, buying a set of V3's is probably the easiest option, spray and walk away handling upgrade. I will be my normally trolling self and say I would be looking at that LSD first though, your car with a LSD at a trackday would be mucho funno!

The 1M is fantastic. You could spend three times as much on a worse car, or half as much on a car that is just as good. Not everyone needs a $10,000 hand bag to show they have money

Seems legit, think this should be moved to the performance section. I wonder what he paid for this Japanese import BMW vs a NZ new example with a FSH? Solve problem. Get rid of Japanese imports -
Z3 is a hotrod, a stand alone classic, and possibly the last mad creation BMW did that was actually good! Z4 is more the Porsche Boxster, a great car you be happy to buy your wife.

Should have just brought a white one, they look way better in white IMHO, that grey has got to be the most uninspiring colour I have seen on a 1M.

Rear window regulators again! Boot handle what, its making noise and doing something. Inferred key fob, you just have to aim it and hold it, just aim it there and hold the button. f**k it just use the key hole. Ah I miss my E39.. not

Very nice car. I think a few of us may have seen this car a few years back at Glens workshop before a cruise.
-
Quaife do one specifically for your car. Would be my first port of call on any BMW without one fitted OEM FYI

Wow car is looking great, some quality mods there. Are yo going to do a follow up dyno run and custom tune? Will make some good power no doubt. How is traction with that open diff, can you floor it off the line and out of corers without massive amounts of expensive Michelin pouring out one side?
-
Well done, looks great. That Luma Ventless Carbon front lip looks lush. A good friend has one of these cars and TBH I think the OEM exhaust sounds great on it when he opens it up on a back road.

35 Series tyres are fine if they are matched to the spring and damper, im guessing this thing is going to ride a bit stiffer than the last, should be a lot faster too though. Looks good, dome video here: http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2013/8/19/BMW-...-Flesh-7715837/ Looking forward to the M3, the coupe always took to effeminate for my liking, prefer he sedans and touring and they are more practical.

Video shop is a 5min walk, I can hire all the movies I want and they are good HD quality and cheap to rent, hiring a movie and making a night out of it with a take away is still an occasion for me, maybe I am old I look forward to ultra fast broadband and downloading high quality HD content that will match the blue-Ray quality we hire from the video store.. we are not far away that being reality, a few years. Currently I am with SKY-TV just so I can watch the F1 and WRC, so I essentially pay $90 for that, would love the option of being able to download just what I want, would even pay the same $90 if I knew it was going back to the Motorsport production companies and not SKY TV. Kinda like what this provider has done with the Soccer: http://www.premierleaguepass.com/plp/ TV needs to die and SKY needs a massive wake up call, we get shafted for nothing but re hashed crap and TV adds.

Smart looking yet a little rough E46 318 (Turners)

That's what I was thinking, would make a good project car with a transplant. -
I hire movies as do all the other people who are in my local Video store! haha I don't watch TV though.

Looks like a nice wagon, well done. X2. OEM wheels look good on the E34, just save up for some nicer rubbers.
-
Well done. Cant wait to see it in October.

Good luck with the sale, looks like an O.K car, with Basket weaves and an OEM interior it would be more appealing and probably fetch a bit more. Have always know it as the "SE" wheel as it seems to be the wheel that comes on "SE" cars, I have no idea what the "sport" package is either, a set of Golf Clubs and a Rugby ball perhaps?

Fair question. Personally I am not a fan of older cars and prefer brand new or as near to new as possible, but I can appreciate some cars have meaning to some people, so I guess "classic" is more an emotion towards and object rather than age in itself, some cars become instant classics. As for a modern crop, anything exotic and sporty will be a classic, Porsche, Aston, Ferrari, Lotus, Jaguar etc, in terms of modern economy cars I think the new GT86 will be a future classic, as will high end Mini's, possibly the Mazda MX5, the BMW 1M will be a classic as will any M car in its own way, can thing of a lot TBH. There are two cars I would like in my shed that I deem usable classics, something that you can thrash and enjoy that is genuinely fun to drive, the BMW M3 or M325i and the Peugeot 205 GTI.

Chris Amon did help with suspension tune all local assembled Corolla's, the relationship dates back to the early 80's, he drove the KE70 series Corolla and commented on how bad it handled, so Toyota gave him a job to help tune the AE82/EE80 series for Kiwi roads. Toyota used his name to sell cars for years and years. f**k knows why that guy has listed that car as a Amon.
